The present disclosure provides: a non-woven fabric for a sterilization packaging material, the non-woven fabric being capable of being compatible with all sterilization treatment methods and maintaining a sterile state in the interior without breaking even in a variety of environments in which the non-woven fabric can be assumed to be used as a sterilization packaging material; and a non-woven fabric for a sterilization packaging material, the non-woven fabric achieving both easy-peel properties that enable easy handling without breakage and barrier properties for retaining the sterile state in the interior.

Nonwoven fabric for sterilization packaging material

The present invention provides a novel packaging material for sterilization which has processing suitability as a packaging material, is compatible with all sterilization processing methods such as those performed under high-temperature conditions, has small variation in shapes and dimensions, and is capable of maintaining an internal sterilized condition. This packaging material for sterilization is configured from at least two layers of laminated non-woven fabrics comprising a non-woven fabric layer (I) formed of continuous long fibers having an average fiber diameter of 5-30 &#x3bc;m and a non-woven fabric layer (II) formed of ultra-fine fibers having an average fiber diameter of 0.1-4 &#x3bc;m.

A nonwoven fabric separator for a lead storage battery includes a nonwoven fabric configured with regenerated fibers or synthetic fibers. The nonwoven fabric is composed of a recycled fiber or synthetic fiber having a relationship between the average pore diameter (D) of the nonwoven fabric separator and the number of pores (N) that satisfies the following equation: 1.0&#xd7;10&#x3c;D*N&#x3c;1.0&#xd7;10. The nonwoven fabric separator includes at least two layers which are integrated.

The separator is configured from a laminate non-woven fabric consisting of at least two layers, said layers including a non-woven fabric layer (layer I) that comprises a synthetic fiber having a fiber size of 0.1 &#x3bc;m or greater and less than 4.0 &#x3bc;m and a non-woven fabric layer (layer II) that comprises a thermoplastic resin fiber having a fiber size of 4.0-30.0 &#x3bc;m inclusive, and has a weight per area of 3.0 g/mor greater and less than 20.0 g/m.
