A lens system includes: a lens unit; a drive unit driving the lens unit in an optical axis direction; a detector detecting a position of the lens unit; a lens operation unit that operates driving of the lens unit; and a computing unit that computes a positional command value for controlling driving of the lens unit based on a signal input from the lens operation unit and controls driving of the lens unit; a time setting unit; and a threshold setting unit setting a positional difference threshold for switching the first and second current values set in the drive unit. When the difference between the positional command value and the lens position is larger than the positional difference threshold and duration after the second current value is set has not exceeded the high-current maximum time, the second current value is set. In other cases, the first current value is set.

A lens apparatus supported by a support member, includes a pan/tilt detection portion for determining whether or not a pan operation and a tilt operation of the support member are performed, based on pan/tilt operation information output from the support member, an image blur correction lens for correcting an image blur, a vibration detection portion for detecting vibration of the lens apparatus, and calculating an amount of the image blur, and an image stabilizing portion for driving the image blur correction lens based on the amount of the image blur. The pan/tilt detection portion resets the vibration detection portion when the pan/tilt detection portion determines that one of the pan operation or the tilt operation is performed, and releases the reset of the vibration detection portion when the pan/tilt detection portion determines that the one of the pan operation or the tilt operation is not performed.

A lens driving control apparatus for a zoom lens includes a zooming operation member for operating a zoom part of the zoom lens, a focusing operation member for operating a focusing lens part of the zoom lens, and a control circuit for driving and controlling the zoom part. The control circuit computes information about driving of the zoom part for substantially preventing a change of angle of view resulting from movement of the focusing lens part, on the basis of an operation signal of the zooming operation member and an operation signal of the focusing operation member or a position signal of the focusing lens part and a position signal of the zoom part, and drives and controls the zoom part in accordance with the computed information.

A lens position control apparatus includes an absolute position detecting part for detecting the absolute position of a lens, a relative position detecting part for detecting the relative position of the lens, a driving part for driving the lens, and a control part for controlling the driving part to drive the lens to a predetermined position within a driving range of the lens on the basis of an output of the absolute position detecting part and, after that, drive the lens to an end position of the driving range on the basis of an output of the relative position detecting part, so that the lens position control can be promptly initialized.
