An input device includes a flexible base, a sensor member that is provided on the surface of the flexible base and can detect the operation position of a finger, connection portions that are provided on a back of the flexible base, a printed circuit board of which an area is smaller than the area of the flexible base and which includes terminal portions on the surface thereof facing the back, and an electronic component that is mounted on a surface of the printed circuit board opposite to the surface of the printed circuit board on which the terminal portions are provided and is electrically connected to the terminal portions. The flexible base and the printed circuit board are bonded to each other with an adhesion layer interposed therebetween so that the connection portions come into contact with the terminal portions.

An input device contains a resistance-element series formed by series-connected resistance elements, low resistors opposing the resistance elements, an operating object which brings one of the low resistors into contact with one of the resistance elements and changes the contact area therebetween, an output point at the midpoint between resistance elements, and a controller. When the resistance element and low resistor are not in contact, the input device enters a sleep mode in which the resistance-element series or low resistors have a high potential and the other a low potential. In the sleep mode, determination that the operating object has been operated occurs when a change in voltage or current on the low potential side is detected. A voltage is applied across ends of the resistance-element series, and the device enters a detection mode in which the output is based on the contact area change.

Input device

An input device includes a belt-shaped strap section in which leads are buried, and connecting members for connecting the strap section in an annular form. The strap section includes a sheet-shaped membrane having a plurality of input sections, and belt-shaped clamping members that can hermetically sandwich portions of the membrane having the input sections. One end of the membrane extends from end portions of the clamping members to be connected to an external device with one of the connecting members therebetween.

A thermal transfer device including a transfer roller and transporting portions that are spaced apart from and oppose each other; a heating member for heating surface of the transfer roller; a tray for placing thereon a member, being an optical recording-medium, to be subjected to transfer; and a transfer sheet with a transferring portion formed by printing, wherein the tray carrying the transfer sheet and the member to be subjected to transfer Such that the transferring portion faces the member is transported between the transfer roller and the transporting portions with the transfer sheet in contact with the transfer roller, whereby the transferring portion of the transfer sheet is thermally transferred onto the member. The thermal transfer device is capable of providing good quality printing at all times as a result of forming the transferring portion of the transfer sheet by printing, followed by thermal transfer of the transferring portion onto the member being an optical recording medium.
