A display panel includes a substrate including a first area and a second area which is adjacent to the first area, an encapsulation layer including a lower pattern in the second area, an insulating layer on the first area and the second area and defining an opening exposing a side surface of the lower pattern, an upper pattern on the insulating layer, protruding toward a center of the lower pattern and having a tip overlapping the side surface of the lower pattern, and an inorganic encapsulation layer in direct contact with the lower pattern.

A method of manufacturing a display panel includes: preparing a support substrate including a first area and a second area that are spaced apart from each other, and a third area between the first area and the second area; forming, on the support substrate, a blocking layer located in the first area; forming, on the support substrate, a substrate material layer located in the first through third areas; removing a portion of the substrate material layer corresponding to the third area, to form a dummy substrate in the first area and a substrate in the second area; and separating the substrate from the support substrate, wherein the dummy substrate includes a plurality of protrusions protruding toward the substrate, and the substrate defines a plurality of through-portions corresponding to the plurality of protrusions, wherein an edge of each of the plurality of protrusions includes an uneven portion.

A display panel includes: a substrate including a front display area, where a first display element is in the front display area, a first side display area connected in a first direction to the front display area, a second side display area connected in a second direction to the front display area, a corner display area between the first side display area and the second side display area, where a second display element is in the corner display area, an intermediate display area located between the front display area and the corner display area, where a third display element is in the intermediate display area, and a groove is defined on the substrate; and an inorganic pattern layer on opposing sides of the groove and including a pair of protruding tips protruding toward a center of the groove, where the groove is between the second and third display elements.
