Provided is a method for detecting a network or device and a neighbor thereof, in order to detect networks or devices which substantially interfere with each other and to manage resources in consideration of the substantial interfering relationships so that the networks or devices can efficiently coexist. To this end, according to an embodiment of the present invention, a method for detecting a neighbor of a television band device (TVBD) network or device comprises the steps of: transmitting a request to a coexistence manager which serves the TVBD network or device; and receiving neighbor information on the TVBD network or device in response to the request, wherein the neighbor information includes an identifier of a neighbor TVBD network or device which interferes with the TVBD network or device, and the neighbor information is based on operating channels of the TVBD network or device and the neighbor TVBD network or device.

Method for detecting a network or device and a neighbor thereof

According to one embodiment of the present invention, provided is a method in which a server enabling heterogeneous wireless devices to coexist in an equal frequency band selects a master management device among multiple management devices for coexistence. The method for selecting a master management device may include: receiving from a server a request message from a certain management device among the multiple management devices; selecting a master-candidate device among the multiple management devices in response to reception of the request message; transmitting, to the selected candidate device, a request message for requesting the selected candidate device to take charge of a master management device; receiving a response message from the selected candidate device; selecting the selected candidate device as a master management device when the response message includes an acceptance response; and transmitting an announcement message including the result of the selection to the multiple management devices.

According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method for efficient channel use is disclosed. The channel use method may comprise the steps of: selecting a specific channel from channels configured to be shared along with a homogeneous or heterogeneous communication scheme; and performing an interference avoidance procedure if the selected channel interferes with a neighboring access point. The avoidance procedure may comprise one or more of a process of making a request to switch a channel of the neighboring access point, a process of notifying to the neighboring access point, and a process of changing the selected channel into another channel.

Disclosed is a method for providing information for enabling different types of access points to coexist. An embodiment of the present invention relates to a method for performing spectrum sensing to detect a signal for a terminal of a primary user in each sensing node.
