A display apparatus includes: a display panel including a plurality of pixels; a data driver which applies data voltages to the pixels; a gate driver which applies gate signals to the pixels; and a driving controller which controls the data driver and the gate driver. The driving controller divides the display panel into a plurality of panel blocks, calculates a skin color inclusion ratio of each of the panel blocks based on input image data, determines at least one face region candidate block among the panel blocks based on the skin color inclusion ratio, determines a face region block of the at least one face region candidate block based on the at least one face region candidate block and face matching data, and performs image quality processing on the face region block.

Display apparatus and method of driving the same

A driving controller including: a data converter configured to convert an X grayscale value of N-th frame data into a Y grayscale value of the N-th frame data; a frame memory configured to receive the Y grayscale value of the N-th frame data from the data convertor and output a Y grayscale value of N−1-th frame data to the data converter; and a data compensator configured to compensate the X grayscale value of the N-th frame data based on the X grayscale value of the N-th frame data and the Y grayscale value of the N−1-th frame data, wherein N is a natural number greater than or equal to 2.

Driving controller and a display device including the same

An electronic device includes a main processor that provides an image signal and an image-sticking correction signal, and a display module that receives the image signal and the image-sticking correction signal and outputs an image data signal obtained by compensating for the image signal. The display module includes a compensation circuit that calculates cumulative stress based on the image data signal and outputs an image-sticking compensation signal and a compensation adjuster that outputs the image data signal obtained by correcting the image signal based on the image-sticking correction signal and the image-sticking compensation signal. The image-sticking correction signal is input by a user manipulation.

A display device includes a display panel which displays an image, and a panel driving block which receives a control signal and generating a criterion point signal including information about a criterion point for adjusting luminance of the image based on the control signal. The panel driving block receives image signals, generates a correction value based on distance information about a location of the display panel, at which each of the image signals is displayed, and the criterion point, and generates correction image signals by converting the image signals based on the correction value.

A color conversion device includes a conversion determination module which receives input image data including a plurality of pixel data, and to determine whether a dominant color of an input image represented by the input image data is within a predetermined color conversion region, a color conversion module which performs color conversion on pixel data representing a color within the color conversion region among the plurality of pixel data when the dominant color of the input image is within the color conversion region, and a luminance conversion module which performs luminance conversion on pixel data representing a luminance within a predetermined middle luminance region among the pixel data on which the color conversion is performed.
