A method for regenerating a lean NOx trap (LNT) of an exhaust purification system having the LNT and a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) catalyst includes determining whether a regeneration release condition of the LNT is satisfied; determining whether a regeneration demand condition of the LNT is satisfied; and performing regeneration of the LNT if the regeneration release condition of the LNT and the regeneration demand condition of the LNT are satisfied, wherein satisfaction of the regeneration release condition of the LNT is determined based on an NOx amount absorbed in the LNT, an NH3 amount stored in the SCR catalyst and temperature at an upstream of the SCR catalyst.

The present invention relates to a method for calculating loading amount of ammonia in a selective catalytic reduction apparatus, which may include: detecting a change amount of temperature in the selective catalytic reduction apparatus; determining whether the change amount of temperature in the selective catalytic reduction apparatus increases; calculating a loading modification amount of ammonia according to the change amount of temperature if the change amount of temperature in the selective catalytic reduction apparatus increases; calculating a loading change amount of ammonia based on the calculated loading modification amount of ammonia; calculating a current loading amount of ammonia based on the calculated loading change amount of ammonia; and dosing the current loading amount of ammonia into the selective catalytic reduction apparatus.

A system for and process of is provided for calculating SCR conversion efficiency by applying a reference control signal by which a urea dosing module is controlled to an NOx conversion value respectively in absorption and release modes of NH3 according to a loading amount of the NH3 determined from the SCR efficiency map. The system and process may include a process of determining the NOx conversion value according to a loading amount of NH3, a process of detecting the reference control signal of the dosing module injecting the urea solution, and a process of calculating the SCR conversion efficiency based on the determined NOx conversion value and reference control signal of the dosing module.
