Provided is an electronic device comprising a display layer in which an active area and a peripheral area adjacent to the active area are defined and a cover layer disposed under the display layer, wherein the display layer includes a base layer, a circuit layer disposed on the base layer and including a transistor and a feeding part, and a light emitting element layer disposed on the circuit layer and including a light emitting element electrically connected to the transistor, wherein the feeding part is disposed on the same layer as a part of the transistor, and includes a coplanar waveguide, wherein, when viewed on a plane, the cover layer overlaps the feeding part.

This transmission line for a millimeter wave band using a vertical type PIN diode comprises: a diode layer comprising a vertical type PIN diode and a metal column of the same size as the vertical type PIN diode; an upper signal application substrate which is located on the diode layer and comprises metal columns for transferring a millimeter wave signal to the diode layer; a lower signal application substrate located under the diode layer; an upper bonding film for connecting the diode layer to the upper signal application substrate; and a lower bonding film for connecting the diode layer to the upper signal application substrate. By applying a vertical type PIN diode which is very small in size compared to SMD type diodes of existing types and may be mounted within an intermediate substrate, the freedom in designing an antenna and a circuit may be significantly improved.

The peripheral area includes a first area and a second area spaced apart from the active area with the first area therebetween, and the common electrode is disposed in the active area and the first area and is spaced apart from the second area. When viewed in a plan view, a portion of the antenna pattern does not overlap the common electrode and overlaps the cover layer.

The array antenna system according to an embodiment includes an active radiation layer including a plurality of unit cells and a control circuit to control properties of each unit cell, a plurality of patch antennas placed on each unit cell, and a feed line to feed waves for excitation of the plurality of patch antennas through the active radiation layer, wherein each unit cell is controlled to have different radiation properties by the control circuit, and beam steering and impedance control of the array antenna system is enabled by control of the active radiation layer. According to the embodiment, power consumption is much lower than the existing beamforming circuit, and the using of the single feed line reduces the complexity of system design.
