The electronic device includes a battery, a sensor module for acquiring a first temperature, which is the temperature of a first portion adjacent to the battery, a power reception unit for wirelessly receiving power from a charging device, a power management module for supplying power to the battery and an internal system of the electronic device, and a processor electrically connected to the sensor module and the power management module, wherein, while the electronic device wirelessly receives power from the charging device, the processor is configured to transmit a first command to the power management module so the power management module cut offs the supply of the power to the battery and supplies the power to the internal system in response to the battery being fully charged, use the sensor module to acquire a second temperature, and control the power, supplied to the internal system.
