A method for classifying sources of interference provides Operations, Administration, and Management (OAM) data available in a wireless communication network to a trained machine learning model that outputs indications of the types of interference sources exhibited in the OAM data. The OAM data provided to the machine learning model may include per-Physical Resource Block (per-PRB) interference data for a cell, and may further include metadata corresponding to the configuration of the cell.

A method for performing Carrier Aggregation (CA) using spectrum shared between an incumbent user and a telecommunications network includes establishing a primary cell (PCell) for the secondary user in a portion of radio spectrum that is exclusively licensed to the telecommunications network, establishing a secondary cell (SCell) for the telecommunications network in a portion of the shared spectrum that is shared with the incumbent user, receiving schedule data for the incumbent user at a controller in communication with the incumbent user and a transmitter for the PCell and the SCell, scheduling transmissions for the PCell and the SCell to avoid interference to the incumbent user, and transmitting the scheduled transmissions through the PCell and the SCell using Carrier Aggregation (CA). A method for a cellular telecommunications network includes performing a modulo operation on a physical cell identifier (PCI) of a target cell to determine a first PCI mod value, determining first tier neighbors of the target cell, determining that at least one of the first tier neighbors uses a PCI that has a PCI mod value that is the same as the first PCI mod value, comparing a number of handover attempts between the target cell and the at least one first tier neighbor with the first PCI mod value to a first threshold value, and when the number of handover attempts exceeds the threshold value, replacing the PCI of the target cell with a PCI with a second PCI mod value different from the first PCI mod value.

A method for handling a jamming signal in a wireless network includes obtaining network measurement data on a wireless network performance, the network measurement data collected by a wireless network element. A first performance information on the wireless network performance is derived based on the network measurement data obtained. The first performance information is examined with respect to a predefined value. An alert is issued to indicate a presence of a potential jamming signal based on a result of the examination of the first performance information.
