An OLED display system includes a display panel, a driving circuit, a voltage generator and a power management application circuit (PMAC). The driving circuit provides scan signals to the display panel. The voltage generator generates a negative voltage based on a first driving voltage having a positive level and a second driving voltage having a negative level and provides the negative voltage to the driving circuit. The PMAC includes a power management application circuit (PMIC) and an additional circuit distinct from the PMIC and disposed externally to the PMIC. The PMIC applies a high power supply voltage and a low power supply voltage to the display panel and generates the first driving voltage based on a battery voltage. The additional circuit generates the second driving voltage based on the battery voltage. The driving circuit generates at least one of the scan signals based on the negative voltage.

Organic light emitting diode display system

A low drop-out (LDO) regulator includes a power transistor, an error amplifier and a droop adjusting circuit. The power transistor regulates a driving voltage based on a gate voltage of a gate node to provide an output voltage at an output node. The error amplifier outputs the gate voltage by amplifying a voltage difference between a reference voltage and a feedback voltage proportional to the output voltage. The droop adjusting circuit is connected between the gate node and the output node, is coupled to the output voltage, and adjusts the gate voltage to compensate for a change of the output voltage based on a change of a load current which is provided to a load from the output node.

A touch processing circuit includes: a front-end circuit including an amplifier, a first capacitor, a second capacitor, a third capacitor, and a plurality of switches each having two ends that are selectively connected each other, the front-end circuit being configured to process an input signal varying according to a touch; and a controller controlling the plurality of switches so that the front-end circuit is configured as a first circuit that accumulates deviation of the input signal between a first phase and a second phase during an integration period and a second circuit that converts the accumulated deviation into a digital signal during a conversion period.

A touch sensing system is provided. The touch sensing system includes a touch panel including touch sensors arranged in a grid along row and column directions; a touch controller including at least one transmission circuit to transmit a signal to the touch sensors and at least one reception circuit to detect a signal from the touch sensors; and a switching circuit to selectively connect each of the touch sensors to the at least one transmission circuit and the at least one reception circuit in accordance with an operation mode. The switching circuit connects each of the touch sensors to the at least one reception circuit in a touch mode and connects a first portion of the touch sensors to the at least one reception circuit and a second portion of the touch sensors to the at least one transmission circuit in a proximity mode.

Display driver IC and electronic apparatus including the same

In a method of sensing a threshold voltage of a driving transistor in a pixel included in a display panel, a first initial level of a data voltage, a level of an initialization voltage and a second initial level of a reference voltage that are used for sensing the threshold voltage of the driving transistor are set. The reference voltage is different from the initialization voltage. The threshold voltage of the driving transistor is sensed by applying the initialization voltage, the data voltage having the first initial level and the reference voltage having the second initial level to the driving transistor. When a predetermined condition is not satisfied by variation in the threshold voltage of the driving transistor, at least one of the first initial level and the second initial level is changed. The threshold voltage of the driving transistor is sensed again based on a result of changing at least one of the first initial level and the second initial level.

Method of sensing threshold voltage in display panel, display driver integrated circuit performing the same and display device including the same

A display device includes a display panel including pixels arranged in rows and columns, a gate driver connected to pixels in the rows through first gate lines and second gate lines, a data driver connected to the pixels in the columns through data lines, a sensor connected to the pixels in the columns through sensing lines, a memory to store a look-up table, and a timing controller to control the gate driver and the data driver to adjust the brightnesses of the pixels through the first gate lines and the data lines and to control the gate driver and the sensor to perform a sensing operation of sensing the brightnesses of the pixels through the second gate lines and the sensing lines. The timing controller reads the look-up table from the memory and adjusts a sensing period of the sensing operation based on the look-up table.

Display device

A charge pump (CP) that operates at low input voltage with high power conversion efficiency is disclosed. A first embodiment provides a negative CP used for controlling load switches of a voltage doubler. Using a negative CP extends the operating region below ground to relieve the power delivery limitation of the CP. A second embodiment provides a low power adaptive dead-time circuit, which has several dead-time signals having different lengths of dead-times and selects one according to the input voltage level. A low input voltage detector in the adaptive dead-time circuit is used to determine which dead-time should be used. A third embodiment provides a switching body bias used for the low input voltage CP. The switching body bias uses both forward and reverse body bias applied to the CP to minimize reverse current and maximize power transfer. The first, second, and third embodiments can be used together or independently.

Charge pumping apparatus for low voltage and high efficiency operation

A charge pumping apparatus includes a voltage pumping unit for pumping an input voltage, a voltage pumping control unit for controlling the voltage pumping unit according to a comparison result between the input voltage and an input criterion voltage and a comparison result between an output voltage output from the voltage pumping unit and an output criterion voltage, and an optimum power point tracking unit for tracking an optimum power point in the case of detecting that the output voltage decreases lower than the output criterion voltage, and adjusting an input impedance to change the input criterion voltage to a voltage corresponding to the optimum power point, wherein the optimum power point is a power point where an input power according to the input voltage becomes a maximum. Since the optimum power point is tracked by measuring only a voltage without a current sensor, a power loss is small.
