A display panel includes a substrate including a display area, and a peripheral area surrounding the display area in plan view, a pixel circuit in the display area, a light-emitting diode in the display area, electrically connected to the pixel circuit, and including a pixel electrode, an opposite electrode, and an emission layer between the pixel electrode and the opposite electrode, a test circuit in the peripheral area, and a pseudo-diode in the peripheral area, electrically connected to the test circuit, and including a first transistor.

A pixel circuit includes a light emitting element, a driving transistor, a first emission transistor applying a first power voltage to the driving transistor in response to a first emission signal, a second emission transistor applying the driving current to the light emitting element in response to a second emission signal, a first initialization transistor applying a first initialization voltage to an anode electrode of the light emitting element in response to the second emission signal, a data write transistor, a compensation transistor, a second initialization transistor, and a storage capacitor. A first off-duty ratio which is a ratio of a high voltage level period of the first emission signal in one frame is determined according to a set luminance level, and a second off-duty ratio which is a ratio of a high voltage level period of the second emission signal in the one frame is fixed.

Pixel circuit and display device having the same

A display device includes a switching part and a first pixel circuit electrically connected to the switching part, and the switching part outputs a turn-off voltage to a first node in a first mode and outputs an initialization voltage to the first node in a second mode. The first pixel circuit includes a first transistor including a gate terminal electrically connected to the first node, a first terminal electrically connected to a second node, and a second terminal electrically connected to an organic light emitting diode and a second transistor including a gate terminal which receives a gate signal, a first terminal which receives a data voltage, and a second terminal electrically connected to the second node.

A display device includes a display panel including pixels, and a timing controller which determines a first dimming period and a second dimming period based on a maximum luminance, determines an emission off ratio of the pixels as a first off ratio increasing discretely as the maximum luminance decreases in the first dimming period, and determines the emission off ratio as a second off ratio in the second dimming period.

Display device and method of driving the same

A pixel circuit of a display device includes first to sixth thin-film transistors, and first and second capacitors. The first thin-film transistor generates a driving current, the sixth thin-film transistor is connected between a light-emitting element and the first thin-film transistor and controls a transfer of the driving current, and the second capacitor is connected between a gate electrode of the sixth thin-film transistor and the light-emitting element.

Display device

A display apparatus is disclosed. The display apparatus includes a display panel including first pixels and second pixels, and a display panel driver which drives the display panel. In a first mode, the display panel driver drives both the first pixels and the second pixels. In a second mode, the display panel driver drives the second pixels in a first part for one frame, and drives the first pixels in a second part for the one frame.

The pixel includes a first pixel that emits light in a first mode and does not emit light in a second mode and a second pixel that emits light in both the first mode and the second mode, where the second pixel has a narrower viewing angle than the first pixel. The gate line includes a first gate line connected only to the first pixel and a second gate line connected only to the second pixel.
