An electronic device includes a display module including a first non-folding portion, a first folding portion, a second non-folding portion, a second folding portion, and a third non-folding portion. The electronic device further includes a first plate disposed under the display module and including first openings overlapping the first folding portion and second openings, a second plate including a first substrate, a second substrate, and a third substrate, an adhesive layer disposed between the first plate and the second plate and including a first portion overlapping the first folding portion and a second portion spaced apart from the first portion, and a plurality of sticks disposed between the second substrate and the third substrate and spaced apart from each other in the first direction. A portion of the second portion overlapping the second folding portion is exposed through spaces between the sticks.

Electronic device

A display panel comprises a first non-folding area, a second non-folding area, and a folding area between the first non-folding area and the second non-folding area; and a lower member under the display panel, the lower member comprising: a first support layer comprising a first support portion and a first protective portion extending from the first support portion, and having an elastic modulus smaller than the first support portion; a second support layer comprising a second support portion and a second protective portion extending from the second support portion, and having an elastic modulus smaller than the second support portion and spaced apart from the first support layer; and a cover layer under the first support layer and the second support layer, coupled with the first support layer and the second support layer, and corresponding to the first non-folding area, the second non-folding area, and the folding area.

Display device having support layers

A display apparatus includes: a display panel including: a folding area foldable around a virtual folding axis extending in a first direction; and non-folding areas spaced from each other with the folding area therebetween; and a protection member including: a hinge member below the display panel, and overlapping with the folding area to be foldable around the folding axis; a base member overlapping with the non-folding areas; and a support member connected to the hinge member and the base member. The hinge member includes: extension parts extending in the first direction and located along a second direction crossing the first direction, each of the extension parts having a guide groove; joint parts connected to opposite ends of the extension parts, and rotatably connected to one another; and a guide part including a protruding part protruding in the first direction to be connected to the guide grooves of the extension parts.

Display apparatus

A display device includes first and second sidewall portions and a display module disposed therebetween that is folded with respect to an axis. A moving portion is connected to a first side of the display module and is disposed between the first sidewall portion and the second sidewall portion in a non-expanded mode. A link portion is connected to a second side of the display module. A driving integrated circuit is disposed below the display module and includes a heat discharge plate disposed thereon. The moving portion is configured to move in the first direction to bring the display device into an expansion mode in which the moving portion is farther displaced from the second side of the display module and the link portion is configured to expand in the first direction so that a portion of the link portion overlaps with the heat discharge plate.

Display device

A display device includes a display module including a display panel and a support member including a first surface facing a rear surface of the display panel and a second surface opposite to the first surface, and a guide unit disposed on the second surface of the support member. The display module includes first and second folding portions, a central portion disposed between the first and second folding portions and left and second display portions. The guide unit includes a rotation part overlapping the central portion, a first connection part connected to the rotation part, a second connection part connected to the rotation part, a wire part fixed to the first display portion and fixed to the second connection part, and an elastic part fixed to the second surface of the support member and fixed to the rotation part, the first connection part or the second connection part.

The present disclosure relates to a display device. The display device may include a display panel, a supporting portion, a hinge part, a joint part, and a magnet unit. The supporting portion is disposed below the display panel and includes a plurality of supporting bars which are arranged in a first direction and are extended in a second direction crossing the first direction. The hinge part is disposed below the supporting portion and is overlapped with the supporting bars to define a folding axis extending in the second direction. The joint part is disposed between the hinge part and the supporting bars. The joint part including a plurality of joints, which are arranged in the first direction, are extended in the second direction, and are coupled to rotate with respect to each other. The magnet unit is disposed between the hinge part and the joints.

A hinge member of a display device includes: first, second, and third plates which are spaced apart from each other; a first rotating shaft and a second rotating shaft to rotate the second plate; a third rotating shaft and a fourth rotating shaft to rotate the third plate; a first shaft support connected to one end of the first rotating shaft and one end of the second rotating shaft; a second shaft support connected to other end of the first rotating shaft and other end of the second rotating shaft; a third shaft support connected to one end of the third rotating shaft and one end of the fourth rotating shaft; a fourth shaft support connected to other end of the third rotating shaft and other end of the fourth rotating shaft. At least one of the first and second rotating shafts and at least one of the third and fourth rotating shafts are linearly movable in response to rotation of one of the second and third plates.

Foldable display device

A display device includes: a display panel including a folding area; a supporter disposed on the display panel, wherein the supporter includes a plurality of support bars that are arranged in a first direction and extend in a second direction intersecting the first direction; a hinge disposed on the supporter, wherein the hinge has a folding axis that overlaps the folding area and extends in the second direction; and a plurality of first magnetic units and a plurality of second magnetic units disposed on the supporter, wherein the first magnetic units and the second magnetic units overlap the folding area, wherein the first magnetic units and the second magnetic units are staggered with respect to each other, wherein the folding axis is between the first magnetic units and the second magnetic units.

A light shielding tape includes a first adhesive layer, a textile base layer disposed on the first adhesive layer, a resin base layer disposed on the textile base layer, and a first light shielding layer disposed on the resin base layer. The first light shielding layer includes black pigment.

A display device includes: a folding region and a non-folding region; a display module corresponding to the folding region and the non-folding region; a module supporter corresponding to the non-folding region and in which the display module is received; and a hinge corresponding to the folding region and rotatably connected to the module supporter. The hinge includes: a first joint and a second joint, a first rotator which rotatably connects the module supporter to the first joint, and a second rotator which rotatably connects the first joint to the second joint. The display module includes a first plane facing the module supporter, and a distance between the second rotator and the first plane is greater than a distance between the first rotator and the first plane.

A backlight unit includes a bottom cover, a light source, a middle mold, a diffusion plate and an optical sheet. The bottom cover defines a bottom portion and a sidewall portion which is protruded from the bottom portion. The light source is accommodated in the bottom cover. The middle mold is supported by the bottom cover and defines a horizontal supporting portion and a distance maintaining portion extending from a first end of the horizontal supporting portion in a direction perpendicular to the bottom portion. The diffusion plate overlaps the horizontal supporting portion. The optical sheet overlaps the distance maintaining portion and is spaced apart from the diffusion plate.
