A drive system of a washing machine includes a housing, a motor, a rotor shaft coupled to the motor and the housing, an output shaft having a part within the rotor shaft and coupled to the housing, a planetary gear set coupled to the rotor shaft and the output shaft, and an actuator configured to move the planetary gear set in a vertical direction. When the planetary gear set is moved to one side, a part of the planetary gear set is coupled to the rotor shaft to transmit a rotational force of the rotor shaft to the output shaft at a ratio of 1:1. When the planetary gear set is moved to other side, another part of the planetary gear set is coupled to the housing to reduce the rotational force of the rotor shaft at a gear ratio of n:1 and transmit it to the output shaft.

To reduce a weight and a manufacturing cost, the motor housing assembly includes an aluminum housing coupled to an outer circumferential surface of a motor assembly and configured to form a first space between the aluminum housing and the motor assembly, the first space including an oil flow channel and a plastic housing coupled to an outer circumferential surface of the aluminum housing and configured to form a second space between the plastic housing and the aluminum housing, the second space including a water flow channel.

A gear system is disclosed. The gear system has a structure in which oil churned by a gear is dispensed to at least one of a hollow space or a bearing, thereby effectively lubricating components. For example, the gear system includes a first shaft comprising a hollow space, a first gear arranged at an outer circumference of the first shaft, a second gear externally engaged with the first gear, a bearing arranged at the outer circumference of the first shaft, a housing surrounding the first gear and the second gear, and an oil guide plate disposed between the first shaft and the housing to dispense oil churned by the second gear to the hollow space of the first shaft and the bearing coupled to the first shaft.

Gear system

A gear system is provided to secure lubrication passages when the gear system is changed between driving, neutral, and parking modes. The gear system includes a planetary gear assembly, a hollow portion output shaft selectively engaged with a carrier such that the output shaft is configured to rotate with the carrier when the output shaft is engaged with the carrier. The gear system further includes a first lubrication passage formed radially at a first point on the carrier, a second lubrication passage formed radially at a second point on the output shaft, and a third lubrication passage formed between the outer surface of the output shaft and the inner surface of the carrier and configured to connect the first lubrication passage and the second lubrication passage.

A driving apparatus for an electric vehicle includes a housing, a driving motor, and a planetary gear unit. The planetary gear unit includes a ring gear fixed to the housing and a plurality of planetary gears positioned radially inward from the ring gear. The ring gear includes a ring gear main body configured as a ring-shaped flat plate extending in a radial direction, and a ring gear connection portion extending from an outer peripheral surface of the ring gear main body in an axial direction and contacting the plurality of planetary gears.

An electric vehicle includes a disc fixed to a housing. The electric vehicle also includes a first shaft connected to a motor and rotatable by the motor, and a second shaft connected to a wheel and spaced apart from the first shaft. Further, the electric vehicle includes a hub press-fitted to an outer circumference of the second shaft, and a sleeve spline-coupled with an outer circumference of the hub. The sleeve is slidable between the first shaft and the disc. The electric vehicle operates in any one of a driving mode, a neutral mode, and a parking mode according to a position of the sleeve.

A motor-operated compressor includes a casing having an inner space in which a driving motor, an orbiting scroll and a fixed scroll are accommodated, and a controller provided outside the casing. The casing includes an intake hole formed at a side adjacent to the controller and an exhaust hole formed at a side adjacent to the fixed scroll on the basis of the driving motor. The casing includes a communication passage formed between the casing and a stator of the driving motor, such that a refrigerant introduced into the inner space through the intake hole is introduced into the suction chamber through the driving motor. A back pressure space supporting the orbiting scroll is sealed by oil. The stator has teeth on its inner circumferential surface and protrusions on its outer circumferential surface, each protrusion being located within a width range of each tooth.

A safety device for a vehicle can include an impulse sensor configured to sense an impact to the vehicle and generate an impulse signal based on the impact, a compressor configured to compress refrigerant for a refrigeration cycle of the vehicle, and a safety valve connected to the compressor and configured to receive the impulse signal from the impulse sensor, and in response to the impulse signal exceeding a predetermined value, open the safety valve to place an inner space of the compressor in communication with an outside of the compressor for discharging the refrigerant outside the vehicle.
