A sensor for sensing biometric information includes a light emitting unit that emits a first light ray, a light receiving unit that receives a second light ray, where the second light ray includes a portion of the first light ray reflected by a body of a user, and an optical layer placed over the light emitting unit and the light receiving unit. The optical layer has a first surface facing the light emitting unit and the light receiving unit and a second surface opposite the first surface. The optical layer further includes an asymmetrical protrusion structure formed on the first surface or the second surface and including a plurality of asymmetrical protrusion units. The optical layer may further include a symmetrical protrusion structure formed on the first surface or the second surface opposite the asymmetrical protrusion structure and including a plurality of symmetrical protrusion units.

A direct conversion receiver includes: a high linearity mixer device including a sampler unit charge-sampling an input current according to a sampling frequency, and a buffer unit receiving an output signal from the sampler unit while having a low input impedance, amplifying the received signal, and outputting a current signal; and a filter device decimating an output signal from the mixer device and FIR-filtering the decimated signal.

Direct conversion receiver including a charge area decimation filter

Provided is an operational transconductance amplifier (OTA). An existing Nauta transconductor used to implement a high frequency Gm-C filter integrated circuit (IC) is analyzed by a new method and from a new perspective to remove extra components and divide roles of remaining inverters for more simple and efficient circuit structure. In an existing Nauta transconductor, a common mode signal from an input terminal is amplified and appears at an output terminal, while in the inventive Nauta transconductor the common mode signal from an input terminal does not appear at the output terminal and is effectively eliminated. These enhanced characteristics can be achieved with a smaller number of inverters than an existing Nauta transconductor. Frequency characteristics of the filter can be effectively enhanced by independently controlling the quality factor without affecting the transconductance value required for frequency characteristics of the filter.
