An apparatus and a method are provided for controlling a mode change of a hybrid electric vehicle that change a mode of the hybrid electric vehicle at an optimal reference point of mode change when a demand power of a driver is stably maintained to be greater than a predetermined level. The method includes calculating a demand power or a demand torque of a driver and determining whether the demand power or the demand torque is maintained to be equal to or greater than a first predetermined value for a first predetermined time. A mode change hysteresis line is raised when the demand power or the demand torque is maintained to be equal to or greater than the first predetermined value for the first predetermined time and then a mode change is executed based on the raised mode change hysteresis line.

Apparatus and method for controlling mode change of hybrid electric vehicle

A hydraulic pressure instruction-learning apparatus of a hybrid vehicle includes a power source including an engine and a motor. The engine clutch is disposed between the engine and the motor. The vehicle controller is configured to output a hydraulic pressure instruction to control engagement/disengagement of the engine clutch. The vehicle controller compares output performance of the engine clutch with predetermined dynamic target performance in a launch control, extracts a performance error function if a difference therebetween exceeds a predetermined allowable error range, and corrects the output performance of the engine clutch, such that the output performance falls within the predetermined allowable error range and is stored as a learned value.

Hydraulic pressure instruction-learning apparatus for hybrid vehicle and method using the same

A device and method for controlling a clutch of a hybrid vehicle controls an engagement and a disengagement of an engine clutch installed between an engine and a motor. The device includes a acceleration request sensor for sensing driving situations in which acceleration is needed immediately after deceleration of the hybrid vehicle in a state where the engine clutch is engaged. A controller maintains the engagement state of the engine clutch even though a disengagement condition of the engine clutch is satisfied when receiving a sensed signal of the acceleration request sensor.
