A fan control system includes a fan and a target device. The fan control system includes a controller to control the rotation speed of the fan. The controller controls the rotation speed according to a time-variable rate of current consumed by the target device. Particularly, when the time-variable rate of current exceeds a threshold, the controller controls the fan to operate at a maximum rotation speed.

Disclosed is an apparatus for power interconnection, adapted for use between a main connector and a DC main. The power connector has a connector power terminal and the DC main has a DC main power terminal. The apparatus includes an apparatus power terminal for being electrically coupled to the DC main power terminal in response to the apparatus in connection with the DC main; a first conductor including a resistor and a conductive contact, the conductive contact being electrically coupled to the resistor; and a second conductor, the resistor being electrically coupled to the second conductor, wherein, in response to an action of the power connector in connection with the apparatus, the connector power terminal contacts the conductive contact and a first current flowing therethrough is limited by the resistor. A receptacle structure for power interconnection is also disclosed.

Power interconnection with current surge mitigation

A power supply system for maintaining the efficiency of an AC/DC power conversion unit in relation to a load is disclosed. The load varies in response to power usage during operation of the power supply system. An AC power input and a DC power output of the power conversion unit direct DC power to attached components. A master controller disposed in the power supply system detects the load of an attached computer system through a DC meter and executes an algorithm to determine the values of circuit parameters of conversion circuits in the AC/DC power conversion unit. The master controller sends the values to a mode controller through a digital signal interface. The mode controller adjusts the operating mode of the conversion circuits and thus changes the efficiency of the AC/DC power conversion unit.

Efficiency adjustments in power supply system

A power supply system for an information handling system is provided. The information processing system is electrically coupled to an AC power source and includes at least one computer unit. The power supply system includes: at least one AC power supply unit electrically coupled to the at least one computer unit and the AC power source; at least one DC power supply unit electrically coupled to the at least one computer unit; and a backup power unit electrically coupled to the at least one DC power supply unit. In response to the at least one AC power supply unit not supplying power, the at least one DC power supply unit supplies power to the at least one computer unit. A data center having the power supply system is further provided.

Power supply system

A multi-phase voltage regulator module system includes a VRM and a phase control circuit. The VRM is capable of outputting a load detecting voltage which is direct proportion to the load of the CPU. The phase control circuit outputs a first level phase switching signal to the VRM, and a core voltage outputted by the VRM to the CPU is changed from N phases to M phases when the load detecting voltage increases to a first voltage. The phase control circuit a second level phase switching signal to the VRM, and the core voltage outputted by the VRM to the CPU from M phases to N phases when the load detecting voltage decreases to a second voltage. The first voltage is higher than the second voltage. M is larger than N.

Multi-phase voltage regulator module system

The display card determines whether the first power voltage and the second power voltage supplied by the power supply are within inconsistent input timings, and ensure the third power voltage can be generated accurately to the graphics processing unit to work normally. Therefore, even when the display card cooperates with power supplies having different standards, the graphics processing unit is avoided from malfunctioning or being operated imprecisely by inconsistent timings of input power sources in reaching the display card.

The invention relates to a switching power circuit connected to a motherboard of a computer system. The switching power circuit includes a PWM circuit and a snubber circuit. The PWM circuit includes a phase terminal, and it may output an output voltage to the motherboard via the phase terminal. The snubber circuit includes a zener diode. A negative terminal of the zener diode is connected to the phase terminal, and a positive terminal is connected to the ground terminal. The level of a breakdown voltage of the zener diode is equal to the level of the output voltage in a steady state.
