A high heat resistant steel with low nickel has high tensile strength and high heat resistance at a high temperature, wherein a value of X/Y is 0.44 to 0.47, and wherein the X is a value calculated by Equation 1, [Equation 1 is X=wt % of Cr+wt % of 1.5&#xd7;Si+wt % of 0.5&#xd7;Nb], and the Y is a value calculated by Equation 2 [Equation 2 is Y=wt % of Ni+wt % of 0.5&#xd7;Mn+wt % of 30&#xd7;C+wt % of 30&#xd7;N].

High heat resistant steel with low nickel

Disclosed are a heat-resistant alloy used in a heat-resistant bolt and the like for fastening high temperature parts of an engine in a vehicle and the like, and a method of manufacturing a heat-resistant bolt using the heat-resistant alloy. Particularly, the austenitic heat-resistant alloy includes, based on a total weight of the heat-resistant alloy, carbon (C) in an amount of about 0.01 to about 0.08 wt %, silicon (Si) in an amount of about 0.01 to about 1.00 wt %, manganese (Mn) in an amount of about 0.01 to about 2.00 wt %, nickel (Ni) in an amount of about 17 to about 22 wt %, titanium (Ti) in an amount of about 2.7 to about 3.2 wt %, chromium (Cr) in an amount of about 11 to 16 wt %, molybdenum (Mo) in an amount of about 0.3 to about 1.0 wt %, vanadium (V) in an amount of about 0.1 to about 0.4 wt %, and a remainder of iron (Fe) and optionally an inevitable impurity.

Austenitic heat-resistant alloy and method of manufacturing heat-resistant bolt using the same

The present invention relates to a method of evaluating the fracture toughness of a material using the continuous indentation technique. In the method of this invention, the stress coefficient, strain hardening modulus and yield stress of the material are determined using the continuous indentation technique and, thereafter, the reduced elastic modulus (Er) of the material is calculated. The effective elastic modulus and the initial elastic modulus are calculated and, thereafter, the damage parameter is calculated using the void volume fraction. The critical elastic modulus and the characteristic fracture initiation point of the indentation depth are determined using the damage parameter and, thereafter, the fracture toughness of the material is evaluated. The present invention is advantageous in that the fracture toughness of a brittle material can be evaluated precisely using a nondestructive evaluation technique.

The shift control method of an automatic transmission calculates a shift-pattern-adjusting coefficient using a modular neural network. The shift-pattern adjusting coefficient is based on a plurality of input signals input from a plurality of detectors. It is then determined if shifting is required based on an adjusted shift-pattern. The adjusted shift-pattern being adjusted based on the shift-pattern adjusting coefficient. A target shift-speed when shifting is required is calculated based on the adjusted shift-pattern. Finally, a shifting signal for shifting to the target shift-speed is generated.
