An ultrasonic image processing apparatus includes a trackball module configured to receive a control command from a user, and a controller configured to generate a control command for the trackball module and transfers the generated control signal to the trackball module. The trackball module includes a trackball configured to receive a control command from a user, and a lighting device. The lighting device includes a light source, an optical passage bent at least once to provide an optical path through which light emitted from the light source passes while being reflected at least once, and a light exit opening defined at one end of the optical passage from which light passing through the optical passage is emitted to an outside of the lighting device. The light exit opening is defined around the trackball.

A caster indicator displays the state of casters provided on an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus or a medical bed. The caster indicator includes a position sensing unit sensing the position of levers determining the state of casters, and a display unit displaying the state of the casters according to the position of the levers. With the caster indicator, a user easily confirms the state of the casters, even if a medical electronic apparatus, such as the ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus or the medical bed, is located at a dark place.

An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus including a body, a control panel installed on the top of the body, and a height adjusting device to adjust a height of the control panel. The height adjusting device includes an installation bracket for installation of constituent elements of the height adjusting device, a drive motor to generate rotational power, and at least one arm having one end rotatably coupled to the installation bracket and another end rotatably coupled to the control panel. A clutch unit is placed operationally between the drive motor and the arm to selectively cutoff power transmission between the drive motor and the arm. Thus, the height of the control panel is manually adjustable after the clutch unit cuts off power transmission between the drive motor and the arm.

The ultrasound system includes the control panel, a power transmission device adjusting a height of the control panel, a contact detection unit detecting contact and generating a selection signal, and a controller controlling the power transmission device according to the selection signal.

There is provided a braking device for braking a support member, which connects a main body of an equipment at one end thereof and a sub-body of the equipment at an opposite end thereof. Such a device includes a support bracket, a shaft, first and second plates, a pressing member, and a movable member. The support bracket is mounted on the main body of the equipment. The shaft is connected at both ends on the main body of the equipment. The first plates are disposed around the shaft and movable relative to the shaft. The second plates are disposed around the shaft and alternately positioned between the first plates. The pressing member presses the first and second plates in a braked position. The first and second plates are spaced apart from one another in an unbraked position. The movable member moves the pressing member between the braked and unbraked positions.

A circuit for controlling the opening and closing of a camcorder iris diaphragm including a luminance signal detector for detecting a luminance signal from an image signal of an object received therein, a buffer for buffering the luminance signal from the luminance signal detector, a signal converter for converting the luminance signal from the buffer into a DC signal having a mean value level of the luminance signal, a differential amplifier for amplifying a level difference between the DC signal from the signal converter and a predetermined reference signal, a motor driver for receiving an output signal from the differential amplifier, as a negative (-) drive voltage signal, and a predetermined motor voltage signal, as a positive (+) drive voltage signal, and applying a level difference therebetween as a motor drive voltage signal to an iris motor, and a clipper connected for blocking the DC signal from the signal converter to the differential amplifier when its level is above a predetermined level and passing it from the signal converter to the differential amplifier when its level is below the predetermined level. Therefore, by preventing an oscillating operation of the iris diaphragm, the camcorder can take a picture of an object such as a light source of high brightness, without a separate mechanism such as a neutral density (ND) filter.
