A positive electrode material, a positive electrode, and a battery employing the same are provided. The positive electrode material includes an active particle and a modified layer covering the surface of the active particle. The modified layer is a reaction product of a composition. The composition includes an ionic conductive ceramic compound, an organic conductive compound, and a coupling agent. In the disclosure, the ionic conductive ceramic compound is 50-84 parts by weight, the organic conductive compound is 16-50 parts by weight, and the total weight of the ionic conductive ceramic compound and the organic conductive compound is 100 parts by weight. In the disclosure, the weight percentage of the coupling agent is from 0.05 wt % to 10 wt %, based on the total weight of the ionic conductive ceramic compound and the organic conductive compound.

Positive electrode material, positive electrode and battery employing the same

An additive formulation for a lithium ion battery is provided, which includes an ionic conductor and a compound having a maleimide structure. An electrode slurry composition is also provided, which includes an active material, a conductive additive, an adhesive, and an additive formulation containing an ionic conductor and a compound having a maleimide structure modified by a compound having a barbituric acid structure.

Additive formulation and composition for lithium ion battery and lithium ion battery comprising the same

A method of forming slurry for a positive electrode plate is provided, which includes reacting maleimide compound and barbituric acid to form a hyper branched polymer. 0.1 to 1 part by weight of the hyper branched polymer is mixed with 0.01 to 1 part by weight of coupling agent and 0.1 to 6 parts by weight of carbon nanotube to form a mixture. 80 to 97.79 parts by weight of active material is added to the mixture, wherein the hyper branched polymer, the carbon nanotube, and the active material are bonded by the coupling agent.

A preparation method of an oligomer-polymer is provided. A maleimide is reacted with a barbituric acid to form a first oligomer-polymer. The first oligomer-polymer is then reacted with a phenylsiloxane oligomer to form a second oligomer-polymer. The phenylsiloxane oligomer is a compound represented by formula 1:Ph-Si(OH)O&#x2003;&#x2003;formula 1,wherein x is 0.65 to 2.82 and y is 0.09 to 1.17.

The invention provides a lithium battery, including: a cathode plate and an anode plate; a separator disposed between the cathode plate and the anode plate to define a reservoir region; and an electrolyte filled in the reservoir region. A thermal protective film is provided to cover a material of the cathode plate or the anode plate. When a battery temperature rises over an onset temperature of the thermal protective film, it undergoes a crosslinking reaction to inhibit thermal runaway. A method for fabricating the lithium ion battery is also provided.

Gel polymer electrolyte precursor and rechargeable cell comprising the same

A battery electrode paste composition containing modified maleimide(s) is provided, which has an electrode active material, a conductive additive, a binder and modified maleimide(s) as dispersant. The modified maleimide as the dispersant in the battery electrode paste composition has dendrimer-like hyperbranched structures, which can form a stable complex with the electrode active material. Therefore, owing to the excellent compatibility of the modified maleimide with the solvent in the electrode paste, the storage stability of the paste is increased. Furthermore, through formation of stable bonding between the modified maleimide and the current-collecting metal substrate, the adhesive force between the electrode film and the current-collecting metal substrate is enhanced and the cycling life of the battery product is extended.

A nonaqueous electrolyte having maleimide additives and rechargeable cells employing the same are provided. The nonaqueous electrolyte having maleimide additives comprises an alkali metal electrolyte, a nonaqueous solvent, and maleimide additives. Specifically, the maleimide additives comprise maleimide monomer, bismaleimide monomer, bismaleimide oligomer, or mixtures thereof. Nonaqueous electrolyte having maleimide additives and secondary cells employing the same

An exchange membrane containing modified maleimide oligomers comprising sulfonated poly(aryl ether ketone) (S-PAEK) and modified maleimide oligomers. The exchange membrane uses the modified maleimide oligomers having a hyper-branched architecture as matrix, and introduces them into S-PAEK to constitute semi-interpenetration network (semi-IPN), so as to intensify water holding capacity, chemical resistance, the electrochemical stability and thermal resistance of the ionic/proton exchange membrane. The exchange membrane can be used to fabricate the membrane electrode assemblies, fuel cells, and be applied them to the fields of seawater desalination, heavy water and sewage treatment, and biomass-energy resources.

Exchange membrane containing modified maleimide oligomers

Provided is a pentaaryldiamine-containing bismaleimide compound of Formula (I): wherein Arto Arare independently C-Caryl; and Arand Arare optionally substituted by one or more substitutent(s) selected from the group consisting of C-Calkyl, C-Calkoxy, and cyano. The compound of Formula (I) is obtained by a method including the steps of reacting a diamine with maleic anhydride in a solvent to form an amic acid, and cyclodehydrating the amic acid in the presence of a catalyst and a dehydrating agent. The compound of Formula (I) has a nonlinear and asymmetric structure, is amorphous, and is readily soluble in a variety of organic solvents so that the toughness of the product made there from can be improved and processing of the compound can be simplified.
