A communication device for handling a reception of a multicast broadcast service (MBS) transmission and a small data transmission (SDT) includes: triggering the SDT with a network, when at least one triggering condition is satisfied, wherein the at least one triggering condition comprises that the communication device is not receiving first downlink (DL) data associated with the MBS transmission; transmitting uplink (UL) data associated with the SDT to the network or receiving second DL data associated with the SDT from the network; and receiving a radio resource control (RRC) message from the network to terminate the SDT.

Device and method for handling a reception of a multicast broadcast service transmission and a small data transmission

The disclosure is directed to a method used by a UE to preconfigure a resource for small data transmission in an inactive state and a user equipment using the same method. In one of the exemplary embodiments, the disclosure is directed to a method used by a UE to preconfigure a resource for small data transmission in an inactive state. The method would include not limited to: receiving a CG configuration which is for a small data transmission before entering an inactive state; verifying a CG resource of a camping cell associated with the CG configuration by determining whether the camping cell satisfies a validation condition before triggering a SDT procedure, wherein the CG configuration comprises a list of CG configurations associated with a list of cells; and utilizing the CG resource for the SDT procedure when the validation condition has been determined as being satisfied.

Method used by UE to preconfigure resource for small data transmission in inactive state and UE using the same

A method executed by a User Equipment (UE) communicatively connected to a mobile communication network is provided. The UE operates in a Radio Resource Control (RRC) inactive state as configured by the mobile communication network. In response to a Small Data Transmission (SDT) procedure being triggered in the RRC inactive state, the UE monitors a signal quality of a serving cell of the mobile communication network or determines a traffic type of data to be transmitted in the SDT procedure. The UE determines whether to perform the SDT procedure based on the signal quality of the serving cell or the traffic type of the data.

Apparatuses and methods for small data transmission in a radio resource control (RRC) inactive state

A method and a user equipment of performing resource switching in an unlicensed spectrum are provided. A current set of resources in the unlicensed spectrum is utilized by a UE for performing LBT attempts for transmission of an RACH message to a base station. One or more LBT attempts for transmissions from the UE to the base station are performed over the current set of resources during a current RACH procedure. The current set of resources is switched to a new set of resources in the unlicensed spectrum to be utilized by the UE in a new RACH procedure after a failure count reaches a pre-configured threshold during the current RACH procedure. The failure count is calculated at least based on a count of LBT failure over the current set of resources during the current RACH procedure.

Method and user equipment of performing resource switching in unlicensed spectrum

A user equipment (UE), a communication system, and a handling method for handover failure are provided. The handover procedure of the UE from a source cell to one or more configured target cells fail. In the method, in response to the handover procedure failing, a cell selection procedure to select a suitable cell is performed, where the cell selection procedure is configured to perform a connection re-establishment procedure. Whether to continue the connection re-establishment procedure is determined according to a determining result of whether a suitable cell is one configured target cell.

The present disclosure proposes a method of controlling a WLAN measurement report and related apparatuses using the same. According to one of the exemplary embodiments, the proposed method includes not limited to receiving a configuration message; determining whether to transmit a WLAN measurement result by checking a set of rules after receiving configuration message; generating a WLAN measurement report comprising the WLAN measurement result and transmitting a response message comprising the WLAN measurement report in response to having determined to transmit the WLAN measurement result based on the set of rules; and omitting the WLAN measurement result in the WLAN measurement report in response to having determined to not transmit the WLAN measurement result based on the set of rules.
