A data driver includes a first and second data voltage generator and a third data voltage generator. The first and second data voltage generator generates a first data voltage corresponding to a first grayscale value and a second data voltage corresponding to a second grayscale value lower than the first grayscale value based on a reference voltage. The third data voltage generator generates a third data voltage corresponding to a third grayscale value lower than the second grayscale value based on a voltage level difference between the first data voltage and the second data voltage.

A display device includes: a substrate; a pixel defining layer disposed on the substrate and that includes a pixel opening; an emission layer that overlaps the pixel opening of the pixel defining layer; and an anti-reflection layer that overlaps the pixel defining layer along a direction perpendicular to a surface of the substrate and is disposed along a portion of an edge of the pixel opening.

Display device and driving method thereof

A display device includes an image controller that analyzes first image data to determine whether a same image is displayed for no less than a predetermined threshold time. The image controller sets a low grayscale region having grayscale values of no more than a predetermined threshold low grayscale value when the same image is displayed for no less than a threshold time. The image controller then receives second image data and transmits a control signal to allow a transistor hysteresis reset signal to be transmitted to pixels of the display in the low grayscale region. A data driver transmits the transistor hysteresis reset signal to the pixels in the low grayscale region based on the control signal.

Display device and method of driving the same

A method for controlling a display device includes adjusting the luminance value of input data by a first method when the luminance value is greater than or equal to a predetermined number of nits, and adjusting the luminance value by a second method when the luminance value is less than the predetermined number of nits. The first method reduces the luminance value by a first predetermined percentage. The second method adjusts the luminance value to a first value corresponding to a predetermined luminance value set for the predetermined number of nits, and then reduces the first value by a second predetermined percentage different from the first predetermined percentage. The predetermined number of nits may be 2 nits or another number of nits.
