A display device of a multi-display system includes a display; a communicator configured to receive a divided image that is displayed on the display device, of a whole image that is displayed through a plurality of display devices included in the multi-display system; a storage configured to store the received divided image; and a processor configured to perform, when a reference image that is synchronized with the divided image is received, at least one among an operation for displaying the divided image that is stored in the storage on the basis of synchronization information that is extracted from the reference image and an operation for transmitting the reference image to another display device among the plurality display devices of the multi-display system.

Display device of multi-display system and control method thereof

A display apparatus of a multi-display system is disclosed. The display apparatus includes a display, an input connector configured to receive an input of an image which is encrypted based on HDCP, an output connector which is connected with another display apparatus of the multi-display system, and a processor configured to control the display to display an image corresponding to the display apparatus by decrypting the encrypted image and to re-encrypt the decrypted image to transmit to the another display apparatus through the output connector.

Display apparatus configuring a multi display system and control method thereof

A display apparatus constituting a multi display system is provided. The display apparatus includes an input connector to receive input of an image, a processor to process an image corresponding to the display apparatus from the input image, a display to display the processed image, and an output connector to transmit the input image to an adjacent display apparatus connected to the display apparatus, and the processor, in response to an image input through the input connector being changed to a second connector from a first image, processes an image corresponding to the display apparatus from the second image, and controls the display to display the processed second image based on a synchronization signal of the first image.

Display apparatus constituting multi display system and control method thereof

A display apparatus displaying an image based on an image signal received from a source device is provided. The display apparatus includes a display, a display port interface to connect to the source device, a user input interface configured to receive a mode select command indicating one of a plurality of modes divided according to a vertical frequency ranges where the image is displayed, a first memory configured to store Display Port Configuration Data, a second memory configured to store Extended Display Identification Data, and a processor configured to transmit the EDID to the source device. In response to a mode select command being input, the processor controls vertical frequency information corresponding to a mode selected according to the mode select command to be stored in the DPCD and the DPCD storing the vertical frequency information instead of the EDID to the source device through the interface to be transmitted.

Display apparatus and control method thereof

A display apparatus and an image output method thereof are provided. The image output method includes dividing a received image into a plurality of sub-images, correcting quality of each of the sub-images based on a contrast ratio calculated for the received image, and outputting the image by combining the corrected sub-images. Hence, the display apparatus can enhance luminance and chrominance which vary per sub-image segment in the received image.
