Digital signal processing (DSP) circuitry includes a first phase shifter that generates second data by phase shifting first data according to a rotation-based operation without multiplication of the second data, a second phase shifter that generates fourth data by phase shifting third data according to the rotation-based operation without multiplication of the fourth data, a combiner that generates fifth data by adding the second data and the fourth data, and a multiplier that generates sixth data by multiplying the fifth data by a constant value.

Techniques for improving the packet error rate associated with the processing of packets are described. In an example, a system receives a first packet in a first slot of a frame and a second packet in a second slot of the frame. The first packet includes a first header and a replica of the first header. The first header indicates that the first packet is associated with the second packet. The system generates a second header based at least in part on the first header and the replica. The second header indicates an association with the second packet. The system generates a third packet that includes the second header and performs, based at least in part on the third packet, a contention resolution process on packets associated with slots of the frame.

Techniques for improving the power consumption of a communications device are described. In an example, the communications device generates a first digital signal based at least in part on an analog signal. The communications device also determines a second digital signal that corresponds to a predefined direct current (DC) signal. Further, the communications device generates a third digital signal based at least in part on the first digital signal and the second digital signal and compares a power estimate of the third digital signal with a power threshold. The power threshold is defined based at least in part on the predefined DC signal. The communications device determines that the analog signal corresponds to a data packet based at least in part on an outcome of the comparing.
