A touch panel includes a first polarizing element, a first substrate, a liquid crystal layer, a second polarizing element, a touch electrode layer, a color converting layer and a second substrate. The first polarizing element has a first polarizing axis. The first substrate is disposed on the first polarizing element. The liquid crystal layer is disposed on the first substrate. The second polarizing element is disposed on the liquid crystal layer, includes a plurality of polarizing touch electrodes, and has a second polarizing axis crossing the first polarizing axis. The touch electrode layer is disposed on the liquid crystal layer, disposed adjacent to the second polarizing element and includes a plurality of touch electrodes. The color converting layer is disposed on the second polarizing element. The second substrate is disposed on the color converting layer.

Touch panel and touch display apparatus

A display device includes a display panel including a display surface defined therein and curved in a first direction, and a backlight unit which provides the display panel with light. The backlight unit includes a center light source, outer light sources, and a reflective layer. The display panel includes a display surface defined therein and curved. The center light source includes center light emitting diode packages. Each of the outer light sources includes outer light emitting diode packages. The reflective layer defines a reflective surface. Each of the center light emitting diode packages is disposed on a first support surface. At least one of the outer light emitting diode packages is disposed on a second surface, which is different from the reflective layer.

A display device includes: a light guide member under the display panel and including a light incident surface; a heat discharge member including a heat discharge surface which extends in a first direction opposite to the light incident surface of the light guide member, and a first flat surface which extends in a second direction from the heat discharge surface; and a light source on the heat discharge member, which provides light to the light incident surface and includes a light emitting device on the heat discharge surface and including a light emitting surface opposite to the light incident surface, a circuit board on the first flat surface of the heat discharge member and electrically connected to the light emitting device, and a heat discharge portion on the heat discharge member and which couples the light emitting device to the heat discharge surface of the heat discharge member and discharges a heat generated from the light emitting device.

A light emitting package includes a circuit board, a light emitting chip disposed on the circuit board and electrically connected to the circuit board, a resin layer disposed on the light emitting chip, and a fluorescent layer disposed on the resin layer. The light emitting chip is disposed between the resin layer and the circuit board. The resin layer is disposed between the light emitting chip and the fluorescent layer. For a light, a refractive index of the resin layer is smaller than a refractive index of the light emitting chip and is larger than a refractive of the fluorescent layer.

A backlight assembly includes; a plurality of light source strings which receive a driving voltage to generate a light, a driving circuit including a channel terminal commonly connected to output terminals of the plurality of light source strings and which receives a feedback voltage through the channel terminal to control the driving voltage according to the feedback voltage, and a current detection circuit connected to the output terminals of the plurality of light source strings to receive currents from the plurality of light source strings and which turns off the driving circuit when at least one of the received currents is larger than a predetermined reference current.
