The vehicle control method includes: when an event informing about a vehicle event occurs, transmitting notification information corresponding to the event and/or control information previously determined for processing the event to a mobile communication terminal via a wireless communication network; and when user request information with respect to the control information is received from the mobile communication terminal, controlling a vehicle according to the received user request information.

Navigation apparatus and method thereof

In this etching method, since an etching gas is introduced before introduction of free radicals into a processing chamber, the etching gas has been adsorbed on the surface of substrates when the free radicals are introduced. Accordingly, the free radicals react with the etching gas adsorbed on the surface of the substrates, and the reaction proceeds uniformly on the surface of the substrate. As a result, nonuniform etching does not occur on the surface of the substrate. Moreover, since the reaction between the etching gas and the free radicals occurs on the surface of the substrate, an intermediate product produced according to the reaction between the etching gas and the free radicals reacts with an etching object promptly. Therefore, the intermediate product is not exhausted from the processing chamberexcessively, and hence the etching efficiency is high. As a result, according to this etching method, not only the in-plane distribution of the etching amount becomes more uniform, but also the etching rate is increased more than in the conventional etching method.

An imaging apparatus and method provides a wide dynamic range and is capable of displaying an improved color in low-luminance regions, and an image signal processing method thereof. In the imaging apparatus, a first process divides the voltage level of an analog image signal into a plurality of sections and amplifies the analog image signal with a plurality of different gains according to each section, and a second process converts the analog image signal amplified with the different gains into a digital signal, and non-linearly gamma-corrects the digital signal according to each section. The plurality of different gains may be inversely proportional to the luminance level of the analog image signal. Thus, the level of an analog signal in a low-luminance region is amplified with a gain greater than in a high-luminance region before gamma correction, so that signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio in the low-luminance region of an image is increased, thereby improving sensitivity of the image following gamma correction. Accordingly, a wide dynamic range is provided. An optional chrominance controller of the imaging apparatus controls chrominance gain of the digital signal and outputs the result, thereby displaying an improved color in low-luminance regions of the image.

An image stabilizing circuit, capable of stabilizing unstable images, which are produced by hand-trembling of a user recording images with the camcorder, is provided. The image stabilizing circuit comprises a CCD, a second buffer, a motion detector, an image shifting element, a first buffer and an image adding element. The CCD receives light signals from objects, and produces image signals corresponding to the light signals. The second buffer temporarily stores the input image signals for shifting the image signal. The motion detector is provided for analyzing the input image signals to detect the trembling motion of the input images. The image shifting element shifts a frame of an image stored in the first buffer according to an output of the motion detector, and thereby produces a shifted frame comprising a shifted portion of the input image and a remaining portion with no image. The first buffer is provided for storing previous image signals of the second buffer. Finally, the image adding element is used for adding the shifted portion of the image and a portion of the previous image stored in the second buffer, wherein the portion stored in the second buffer corresponds to the remaining portion of the shifted frame, and for producing output images.

The present invention relates to a dynamic range expanding apparatus. The dynamic range expanding apparatus realizes a wide dynamic range for a video image while reducing the quantization noise, by determining the brightness transform function based on the combined results of the differential and the integral operation with respect to a brightness distribution function. Moreover, the dynamic range expanding apparatus transforms the color difference signal by using the brightness transform ratio without losing the valance in a color tone.

A first motion detecting part extracts first directional information for an entire image area and detects a first directional motion component over a designated time period. A difference value calculating part inputs the first directional motion component and the second directional motion component and calculates a directional difference value indicative of the absolute value of the difference between the first directional motion component and the second directional motion component multiplied by a reciprocal of a magnification ratio. A compensating part selects the first directional motion component multiplied by the magnification ratio to compensate for the vibration when the directional difference value is greater than one. The compensating part selects the second directional motion component to compensate for the vibration when the directional difference value is less than or equal to one. The motions due to hand shaking during video photography are therefore correctly and stably compensated for.

The process is repeated through the limits of a searching area and for each pixel in the vertical and horizontal line pick-up units, and the correlation values are accumulated. An apparatus for minimizing vibration of images in video cameras due to vibration of the operator's hands includes a motion detector, an electric field generator which receives information from the motion detector and generate voltages related to the horizontal and vertical motions, and a hand vibration corrector which uses the voltages from the electric field generator to control the refractive index of a medium through which the incoming video images are passing, to thereby adjust the position of the incoming images. A CCD converts the optical signals of the hand vibration correcting means into electrical signals. The refractive index of the crystal having the electro-optical effect is controlled by electrical signals and the optical source of the input images is optically corrected. Consequently, a high speed response and high precision controlled resolution are provided. Further, the apparatus has a simple structure, and therefore, it can greatly contribute to the camera image stabilization.

The device comprises a horizontal edge extractor, a one-line accumulator, a delay register, a vertical line memory, a sign decision memory, a vertical correlation arithmetic unit, a horizontal edge extractor, a first horizontal line memory, a second horizontal line memory, a comparator, and a horizontal correlation arithmetic unit. Directional edges are used to enhance the accuracy of a motion vector. Since correlation values are calculated as soon as a scan is completed for a field image, it is possible to detect a motion vector at high speed. A digital zooming system determines subpixel image information by detecting a camera motion component from a dynamic image (pixel images from across more than one image frame), the motion component being generated in an interval less than the standard interval between pixels. The system enhances the resolution of the magnified image by synthesizing the image signal through an IIR filter. This preserves image quality when magnifying the input image by a digital zoom. Accordingly, a high resolution image is obtained, and degradation and noise generated by interpolating the input image are reduced.
