Specifically, a radar control device according to the embodiments may include a transceiver configured to transmit a transmission signal for detecting surroundings of a host vehicle through a radar mounted on the host vehicle and receive a reflected reception signal, a calculator configured to calculate a measurement value reflected from an object by performing Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) on the reception signal and calculate a relative speed with respect to the measurement value, and a determiner configured to create, if the relative speed of the measurement value is 0, a peak map having a range-Doppler index from the reception signal, and determine whether the object is a stationary object based on the peak map.

Radar control device and method

The embodiments relate to a radar control device and method. Specifically, a radar control device according to the embodiments may include an antenna device comprising a non-uniform linear array (NLA) antennas spaced apart according to a predetermined ratio, a first uniform linear array (ULA) antenna generated by being spaced apart by a first interval based on the NLA antenna, and a second ULA antenna generated by being spaced apart by a second interval based on the NLA antenna, a transceiver configured to transmit a transmission signal through the antenna device and receive a reflection signal reflected from an object, and a controller configured to determine an angular power spectrum (APS) for the reflection signal and determine an angle at which the object is located based on the APS.

One embodiment of the disclosure relates to a vehicle radar device and a method for controlling the same. According to the present embodiments, a vehicle radar device may comprise an antenna unit including Nt transmission antennas and Nr reception antennas, wherein Nt is a natural number equal to or larger than 1, and Nr is a natural number equal to or larger than 2, a transceiver controlling the transmission antenna to transmit a transmission signal and the reception antenna to receive a reception signal reflected by a target, a signal processor detecting one or more peak signals for the target and separately detecting Nt*Nr channel reception signals corresponding to each peak signal, a target angle estimator calculating a target angle estimate from k channel reception signals selected from among the Nt*Nr channel reception signals, and a target size information estimator calculating size information about the target based on up toCk target angle estimates calculated by the target angle estimator.
