Disclosed are a microneedle patch including a first hydrogel layer containing a mussel adhesive protein and hyaluronic acid, and a second hydrogel layer containing silk fibroin, and a preparation method thereof. The microneedle patch according to the present disclosure has excellent tissue adhesion, biocompatibility, and biodegradability, and is used for transdermal drug delivery to promote wound regeneration.

An oil collecting apparatus is provided to recover polluted nature environment and to keep nature environment clean in such a way that oil leaked over river or ocean is effectively collected on the spot, and only the oil is removed by separating water and oil, wherein the volume of the water tank configured to separate water and oil can be reduced in half, so the present invention may be applied to a small size ship, and only the oil leaked over river and ocean may be separated and collected on the spot. A water surface cleaner with an excellent oil connecting capacity may be built using the present invention.

A process for preparing a 1,3-alkandiol from a 3-hydroxyester, comprises preparing a catalyst by adding an alkaline precipitator to an aqueous copper salt solution to form copper hydroxide particles, and aging the particles following the addition of a colloidal silica thereto; activating the catalyst by reduction with a H gas or a H -containing gas and applying a pressure of about 5 psig to about 2000 psig at a temperature of about 100&deg; C. to about 250&deg; C. in the presence of an activation solvent; and hydrogenating a 3-hydroxyester in a liquid phase slurry with a H gas or a H -containing gas and applying a pressure of about 50 psig to about 3000 psig at a temperature of about 100&deg; C. to about 250&deg; C. in the presence of the activated catalyst and a reaction solvent, whereby a 1,3-alkanediol can be selectively prepared from a 3-hydroxyester with a high yield.
