A method for providing a voice service in a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) is provided. The method includes, detecting a change in the total number of voice calls that are sent and received over a wireless channel of the WLAN, setting channel access-related parameters in the WLAN upon detecting the change in the total number of voice calls, and providing a voice service by applying the channel access-related parameters to the voice and data services.

An apparatus and method for providing/receiving a voice service in a Wireless Local Access Network (WLAN) system. Method and apparatus for providing voice service in communication system

A voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) gateway includes a foreign exchange office (FXO), a foreign exchange station (FXS), and a VoIP processor. A method for establishing VoIP connection between a caller and a called party. Upon receipt of a first dial tone, the caller enters only the access code of the called party's central office. Then, VoIP call setup and a speech path are established between a remote gateway and the caller via a local gateway. A second dial tone is generated by the central office of the PSTN of the called party and this dial tone is relayed to the caller which prompts the caller to enter the telephone number of the called party to thereby establish communication between the caller and the called party.

Method for providing voice over internet protocol call service
