A method for use in a transmitter includes sending a transmission comprising a transport block (TB) comprising a plurality of code blocks (CBs) arranged in one or more code block groups (CBGs). Each code block group includes one or more code blocks and each code block includes a plurality of coded bits. The transmission is sent to a receiver configured to use multi-bit hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback per transport block. The method further includes receiving HARQ ACK or NACK feedback from the receiver one or more of the one or more code block groups of the transport block. The method further includes determining a number of code blocks or code block groups to send to the receiver in a retransmission based on at least the received HARQ ACK or NACK feedback.

The present disclosure described systems and methods for providing OTT services to a UE. An exemplary OTT-providing host computer includes a transceiver, a processor, and memory collective configured to provide the OTT service by initiating transmission of user data to the UE. To transmit the user data from the host computer to the wireless device, a network node sends a first control message for assigning a PDSCH, the first control message comprising a first MCS indication as described. The network node sends to the wireless device a second control message for assigning a PDSCH, the second control message comprising a second MCS indication as described. The network node and/or WD are configured to determine a transport block, TB, size based at least in part on a number of resource elements in a plurality of time slots; determine a segmentation of a transport block, TB, having the TB size, the segmentation producing a plurality of segmented code blocks, CBs; determine a channel coding for each of the plurality of segmented CBs, the channel coding producing a plurality of coded CBs; and one of transmit and receive the plurality of coded CB s over the plurality of time slots according to the determined segmentation and the determined channel coding.

A method, system and apparatus are disclosed for enabling inter carrier interference compensation for interleaved mapping from virtual to physical resource blocks. In one embodiment, a network node is configured to determine to configure the first signal to be located at a subcarrier except at an edge sub-carrier of a resource block, RB; transmit the configuration of the first signal to the WD; and receive a physical uplink shared channel, PUSCH, signaling and the first signal from the WD based at least in part on the determined configuration. In one embodiment, a WD is configured to perform a de-inter-carrier-interference (de-ICI) filter estimation on a first received signal and a second received signal; apply a de-ICI filter to a third received signal, the de-ICI filter being based on the de-ICI filter estimation; and after the application of the de-ICI filter, de-interleaved map and demodulate the third received signal.

Enabling inter carrier interface compensation for interleaved mapping from virtual to physical resource blocks

A method for accessing a cellular communications network in unlicensed spectrum is provided. More specifically, the method is related to performing a Listen-Before-Talk (LBT) procedure prior to transmitting a Physical Random Access Channel (PRACH) preamble for accessing a New Radio-Unlicensed (NR-U) network. A User Equipment (UE) first performs the LBT procedure. If the LBT procedure is successful, the UE then generates a punctured PRACH preamble and transmits the punctured PRACH preamble. By puncturing the PRACH preamble, it is possible to create a gap(s) for performing the LBT procedure in a way that is backward compatible with existing NR-U specification and does not reduce a number of random access occasions in a slot or a mini-slot. As a result, it is possible to transmit PRACH preambles in consecutive random access occasions, thus helping to increase spectrum utilization and reduce latency in the cellular communications network.

A system and method for providing time domain allocations in a communication system. In an embodiment, an apparatus operable in a communication system and including processing circuitry is configured to receive an indication of a time domain allocation in downlink control information associated with a radio network temporary identifier ('RNTI') identifying the apparatus, and employ the time domain allocation associated with the RNTI for transmissions associated with the apparatus. In another embodiment, an apparatus operable in a communication system and including processing circuitry is configured to associate a time domain allocation with a RNTI identifying a user equipment, and provide an indication of the time domain allocation in downlink control information to allow the user equipment to employ the time domain allocation associated with the RNTI for transmissions associated therewith.

The scheduling flexibility of CSI reference signals enables time and frequency synchronization using multiple non-zero CSI-RSs transmitted in the same subframe, or using CSI-RSs transmitted in the same subframe with other synchronization signals. The method further comprises transmitting first information on the frequency resources allocated in the guard band and second information on frequency resources allocated in the main band to a receiver node according to the determined transmission power.
