A washing machine of the present disclosure includes a rotating tub configured to receive laundry, a motor configured to apply a driving force to the rotating tub, a detector configured to detect electrical signal of the motor; a controller configured to receive the electrical signal detected by the detector for a predetermined time when the speed of the motor during a dehydration stroke is a predetermined speed, obtain an average value of the electrical signal received during the predetermined time, check a ripple value in the received electrical signal, obtain an eccentric value corresponding to the obtained average value and the ripple value, and control an operation of the motor to stop or maintain the dehydration stroke based on the obtained eccentric value and a driver configured to drive the motor in respond to a control command of the controller.

Washing machine with heater and multiple tubs and control method thereof

There is proposed a washing machine and a control thereof capable of maximizing a mechanical force regardless of the amount and weight of laundry. By using a washing profile in which the cycle and size of a washing RPM are variable, a washing mechanical force can be maximized regardless of the amount of laundry or a change in the weight of the laundry due to moisture absorption of the laundry. In addition, the head drop behavior of the laundry can be diversified through the washing profile in which the cycle and size of the washing RPM are variable, and in this way, by allowing water (washing water) to be effectively infiltrated into the laundry, the washing performance can be improved. Disclosed herein is a washing machine including: a main body having a laundry inlet in the front portion; a tub disposed in the inside of the main body, and configured to store water; a drum rotatably disposed in the inside of the tub; a pulsator disposed in the inside of the drum, and configured to be rotatable relative to the drum; a motor configured to provide a driving force to the pulsator; and a controller configured to control a current flowing to the motor on the basis of revolution per minute (rpm) of the pulsator rotating by a movement of laundry contained in the drum, and to start controlling the motor on the basis of rpm of the drum.

A control method of a washing machine, in which a hydraulic pressure of water supplied into the washing machine is estimated, enabling sensing of a laundry weight and measurement of a supply amount of the water. The control method includes calculating a first water supply time required to initially supply water to a setup water level, calculating a second water supply time required to additionally supply water according to a variation in water level due to laundry wetting after the initial supply of water, sensing a laundry weight according to a ratio of the first water supply time to the second water supply time, and measuring a flow rate of water using the amount of water supplied to the setup water level and the laundry weight data.
