A fake finger discrimination device includes a fingerprint sensor and a control processor. The fingerprint sensor senses a rotating finger to obtain fingerprints in a fake finger discrimination mode. The control processor electrically connected to the fingerprint sensor, judges whether the fingerprints match with one another by way of rotation correlation comparison. If the fingerprints match with one another, the finger is determined as true. If the fingerprints do not match with one another, the finger is determined as fake. A fake finger discrimination method is also disclosed.

Fake finger discrimination device and method

An electronic device includes a touch screen having a sensing array with a plurality of sensors, a display panel having a displaying area and a processor. The sensing area of the sensing array is smaller than or equal to the displaying area. The processor determines whether a user's finger touches an icon displayed on the display panel, and the icon corresponds to an application. When the processor determines that the user's finger touches the icon, the electronic device controls a first sensing area of the sensing array corresponding to a first displaying area of the icon to enter a fingerprint sensing mode to capture a fingerprint image of the user's finger for fingerprint recognition. When the processor determines that fingerprint recognition is approved, the processor activates the application corresponding to the icon.

Electronic device with touch screen for fingerprint recognition

An electronic device is provided. The electronic device includes a first memory unit for storing a non-payment application, a first processor, a fingerprint sensing unit and a security element including a second memory unit and a second processor. The second memory unit stores a payment application and user fingerprint information. When the second processor executes the payment application, the fingerprint sensing unit captures a fingerprint image of a user's finger and the second processor transmits the fingerprint image to the first processor via a secure channel. The first processor calculates biometric characteristics of the fingerprint image to generate to-be-recognized fingerprint information which is transmitted to the second processor via the secure channel. When the second processor determines that the to-be-recognized fingerprint information matches the user fingerprint information, the second processor generates an authentication signal for a payment transaction.

Fingerprint recognition control methods for payment and non-payment applications

A wearable device is provided. The wearable device includes: a fingerprint recognition apparatus; a pulse sensor for detecting pulse information of a user; and a processor for determining whether the user is wearing the wearable device according to the pulse information detected by the pulse sensor. When the processor determines that the user is wearing the wearable device, the processor performs a first time of fingerprint recognition and a pulse recognition on the user according to a fingerprint image detected by the fingerprint recognition apparatus and the pulse information detected by the pulse sensor, respectively. When the processor determines that the first time of fingerprint recognition and the pulse recognition are approved, the processor controls the wearable device to enter a first working state from a locked state.
