The present disclosure relates to a transmission mechanism for a base station antenna, and a base station antenna including the transmission mechanism. The transmission mechanism comprises: a worm gear unit, which is arranged on the first side of the reflector of the base station antenna and includes a worm driven by a motor and a worm gear meshed with the worm; a bevel gear pair unit, which is arranged on the second side of the reflection plate opposite to the first side and includes a first bevel gear and a second bevel gear meshed with each other, wherein the first bevel gear and the worm gear are coaxially installed on a first drive shaft; and at least one rack-and-pinion unit arranged on the second side of the reflection plate, wherein each rack-and-pinion unit includes a third gear and a rack element meshed with each other, all the third gears and the second bevel gears of the at least one rack-and-pinion unit are coaxially installed on a second drive shaft, and each rack element is fixed on the connecting rod of the phase shifter of the base station antenna for driving the connecting rod to move longitudinally. The transmission mechanism not only occupies a small total volume, but can also be installed in different spaces dispersedly, so that it can better adapt to the trend that the inner space of the base station antenna is getting smaller and more dispersed.

Base station antennas, and components for base station antennas, such as reflectors, feeder components, frames, and column components. A base station antenna may include a reflector; a first radiator located at the front side of the reflector; mutually parallel first and second ground plates extending backward from the reflector and basically perpendicular to the reflector; and a first conductor strip extending between the first and second ground plates and configured to feed power to the first radiator. The first conductor strip and the first and second ground plates may be configured as a first stripline transmission line. The reflector and the first and second ground plates may be configured as one piece so that the reflector is grounded via the first and second ground plates without soldering.

The present disclosure is directed to a mounting bracket adapted for adjusting the downtilt of an antenna. The mounting bracket includes a first member and a second member. The first member is coupled to the second member at one end via a first pair of securing features and is coupled to an antenna mounting bracket at an opposing end via a second pair of securing features. The first member is configured to rotate about the first and second pairs of securing features relative to the second member and antenna mounting bracket, respectively. The second member includes two slots on opposing sides that extend longitudinally along a length of the second member in a vertical direction, each of the first pair of securing features extends through and is configured to slide within a respective slot such that, when an antenna is secured to the antenna mounting bracket, sliding the first pair of securing features in a first direction increases an angle of downtilt for the antenna and sliding the first pair of securing features in a second direction decreases the angle of downtilt for the antenna. The second member is configured to be secured to a mounting structure. Other adjustable downtilt antenna mounting brackets and related assemblies are described herein.

A radiator assembly for a base station antenna includes two dipoles arranged in a cross-over manner, each dipole including two dipole arms, and two feeding lines, each feeding line being associated with a respective one of the dipoles. Each dipole arm is integrally formed of sheet metal, and includes a radiating surface and a leg projecting from the radiating surface at an angle with the radiating surface, where the leg is electrically grounded.

The present disclosure relates to a phase shifter assembly and a base station antenna, wherein the phase shifter assembly includes: a first printed circuit board; a first wiper arm, which is rotatably coupled to the first printed circuit board; a second printed circuit board; and a second wiper arm, which is rotatably coupled to the second printed circuit board; wherein the first printed circuit board and the second printed circuit board are arranged at a non-zero angle.

A phase shifter assembly, suitable for a base station antenna, includes a main printed circuit board with opposing first and second primary sides. The main printed circuit board has a plurality of radio frequency (RF) transmission paths on the first primary side and a plurality of RF transmission paths on the second primary side. The present disclosure has disclosed an antenna mounting device configured to collectively mount a plurality of base station antennas on a mast of a communication tower. The antenna mounting device is substantially in the shape of a polygon, and the mast is disposed at a center of the polygon. The antenna mounting device comprises: a plurality of brackets, which are elongated and include a head bracket, at least one intermediate bracket and a tail bracket attached sequentially; and a bracket fastening mechanism which is disposed between two adjacent ends of the head bracket and an adjacent intermediate bracket, or disposed between two adjacent ends of the adjacent intermediate brackets, or disposed between two adjacent ends of the tail bracket and the adjacent intermediate bracket, and which is configured to move two adjacent ends of the adjacent brackets from a position away from each other to a position close to each other. The antenna mounting device according to the present invention is capable of mounting a plurality of base station antennas on a mast by surrounding the mast in a compact manner, thereby realizing a small-form factor mounting structure.

The present disclosure relates to a switchable transmission mechanism for a base station antenna. The switchable transmission mechanism includes a plurality of axially drivable members, each of which is mounted on a corresponding one of a plurality of transmission rods arranged in parallel and is configured to be connected with a corresponding one of a plurality of phase shifters in the base station antenna; a transmission unit including a first gear assembly and a second gear assembly transmissibly connected to the first gear assembly, where the second gear assembly is engageable with or dis-engageable from any one of the transmission rods via a rod adapter that is movable between an engaged position and a disengaged position along an axial direction; and a switch unit configured to move the second gear assembly along a lateral direction perpendicular to the axial direction when the second gear assembly is disengaged from the transmission rod, so that the switchable transmission mechanism can selectively drive any one of the transmission rods.

A base station antenna includes a remote electronic tilt ('RET') actuator, a phase shifter having a moveable element and a mechanical linkage extending between the RET actuator and the phase shifter. The mechanical linkage includes an adjustable RET linkage that has a first link that has a first connection element, a second link that has a second connection element and a connecting member that includes at least a third link. The adjustable RET linkage includes at least a first hinge and a second hinge.
