A medical instrument () includes a stent () and a constraining structure (). The constraining structure () constrains, and thereby prevents tangling of, a trailing section of the stent (), ensuring successful release of the stent (). Specifically, the stent () has a first proximal end and an opposing first distal end. The first distal end is configured with an expanded configuration and a collapsed configuration. The trailing section at the first distal end includes a number of protrusions (). The constraining structure () includes a body () and a clamping mechanism (). The clamping mechanism () is disposed at a distal end of the body (), and the body () extends from the first proximal end to the first distal end. The clamping mechanism () limits relative movement and thus prevents tangling of the protrusions () by passing through all or some of the protrusions (). Additionally, it allows the stent () to be less deformed within a delivery sheath and thereby enables it to successfully expand when pushed out of the sheath.

Medical instrument

Disclosed is a drug eluting balloon for a balloon catheter. The drug eluting balloon comprises a balloon body () and a coating (), and the coating () comprises a water-soluble adhesive layer (), an isolating layer () and a drug layer () from the inside out. After the drug eluting balloon is pushed to a diseased part, the balloon body () is expanded, and the water-soluble adhesive layer () dissolves due to scouring by a blood flow, such that the isolating layer () and the drug layer () are separated from an outer surface of the balloon body () and adhere to a blood vessel wall. The provision of the isolating layer () can effectively suppress the water-soluble adhesive layer () from removing part of the drug layer () during dissolution, and after the drug layer () adheres to and makes contact with the blood vessel wall, the isolating layer can also reduce the scouring effect on the drug layer () by the blood flow, thereby reducing the loss of drugs, allowing the drugs to be taken in by the blood vessel wall to the greatest extent, greatly improving the utilization rate of the drugs and improving the treatment effect while also preventing toxic and side effects brought about by large doses of the drugs. Moreover, the isolating layer () can also realize the slow release of the drug layer (), such that the drug layer () can provide treatment for a long time, and a good treatment effect can be obtained.

Drug eluting balloon and balloon catheter

A left atrial appendage (LAA) occluder and an LAA occlusion system are disclosed. The LAA occluder enables an increased surgical success rate by allowing repeated good positioning, retrieval and release of the occluder and avoiding the problem of entanglement of the occluding stent during surgery. The LAA occluder includes an occluding stent, a proximal securing member a distal securing member. The occluding stent includes an occlusion structure and a traction structure. The delivery device includes a hollow push tube and a control shaft. The distal securing member can be driven by the control shaft to move toward the proximal securing member until a first distal end of the occlusion structure is in a collapsed configuration, where the distal securing member is blocked from further movement, avoiding the problem of entanglement arising from inward rolling of the occluding stent in the vent of human error.

Left atrial appendage occluder and left atrial appendage occlusion system

Disclosed is use of amlexanox or a salt thereof or a solvate thereof in preparation of a drug having an inhibitory action on the smooth muscle cells, in particular a drug for preventing and treating vascular restenosis. Further disclosed is a medical device, particularly a drug stent, the surface of which is distributed with amlexanox or the salt thereof or the pharmaceutical composition thereof. Amlexanox has an activity in inhibition of the proliferation of smooth muscle cells, has a low inhibitory property of the endothelial cell growth, is particularly suitable for applying on a medical device to prevent the incidence of vascular restenosis, while not delaying the repair of endothelium.

Use of amlexanox

A left atrial appendage (LAA) closure () and a system () for delivering the LAA closure are disclosed. The LAA closure () includes supporting struts (), wherein the supporting struts () are distributed peripherally around a first hub () and extend outward, the supporting strut () bifurcates at a first position () into a left branch () and a right branch (). The left branch () of each supporting strut () and the right branch () of an adjacent supporting strut join each other at a second position () and extend distally to form a distal end. The LAA closure further includes a supporting rod () between adjacent supporting struts () which ensures stability, absence of irregular deformation and lateral slippage, of the LAA closure (). With the supporting rods () between the adjacent supporting struts (), the LAA closure () forms a dense mesh which imparts high overall strength of the LAA closure ().

Left atrial appendage closure and delivery system thereof

An interventional medical device and manufacturing method thereof. The interventional medical device comprises: a stent body (); a surface of the stent body () being provided with a drug releasing structure (), and drug in the drug releasing structure () being drug for suppressing proliferation of adventitial fibroblasts and a drug for suppressing proliferation of intimal and/or smooth muscle cells. In use, after interventional medical device is implanted into a human body, the drug for suppressing proliferation of adventitial fibroblasts carried thereon can promote the compensatory expansion of the vessel, and the drug for suppressing proliferation of intimal cells and/or smooth muscle cells carried thereon can suppress intimal proliferation of the vessel. The combination of the two kinds of drugs greatly reduces the occurrence rate of in-stent restenosis.

Interventional medical device and manufacturing method thereof

The present invention discloses an interventional medical device and methods of making the same. At least one coating layer is disposed on the outer surface of the interventional medical device and the material of the outmost layer of the coating layer is a sulfonate group-containing polymer. In the present invention, the material of the outmost layer of the interventional medical device is a sulfonate group-containing polymer. The polymer is endowed with a same surface property as that of heparin in addition to appropriate hydrophilicity due to the presence of the sulfonate group. After the interventional medical device is implanted into the human body, a hydrophilic surface is formed on the outer surface of the interventional medical device which is also negatively charged in the body fluid. Therefore, cells can easily adhere and grow on the outer surface thereof as a result of the enhanced cell compatibility. Furthermore, due to a surface property that is the same as that of heparin, the material is provided with excellent anticoagulant properties which inhibit the thrombosis and lower down the incidence rate of post-operational complications.
