A multi-view autostereoscopic display comprising a projection device array and a pair of lenticular arrays is disclosed. The projection device array includes a plurality of projectors. Each of the projectors includes a light source array, which consists of a plurality of light sources for projecting light beams towards a split visual field via the projectors respectively. The pair of the lenticular arrays is disposed between the projection device array and the split visual field so that a portion of the light beams projected from each of the light sources can be obtained at each position on the split visual field.

Multi-view autostereoscopic display

A light source system for stereoscopic projection is disclosed, which includes: at least one light source set, two filters, a rotary wheel, a TIR prism, a multiband filter and at least one reflector. The at least one light source set and the two filters are disposed at a first side of the rotary wheel, while the TIR prism, the reflector and the multiband filter are disposed at a second side of the rotary wheel. With the above arrangements, the light source system could provide different lights of different wavebands to a light valve of a projector in different time sequences, and the projector could thus project a right-eye view angle image and a left-eye view angle image to viewers to form a stereoscopic image.

Light source system for stereoscopic projection

A virtual image displaying system is disclosed and includes: a projector, an optical relaying device, a reflective mirror and a slit array. The projector has a main body and a projection lens connecting to the main body. The main body outputs a light beam by the projection lens. The optical relaying device faces the projection lens and is disposed under the projection lens. The reflective mirror is inclined relative to and disposed above the optical relaying device. The slit array is inclined relative to and disposed in front of the reflective mirror. The projection lens is further disposed between the reflective mirror and the slit array. Therefore, the virtual image displaying system has a compact configuration of components.

Virtual image displaying system

A display apparatus for displaying multiple images of viewing angles is disclosed. The display apparatus comprises a display screen and a projector. The projector has at least one light source module, an optical component module, a first light modulator, a second light modulator and a projection lens. The light source module generates a light beam, which is divided into a first portion light and a second portion light after passing through the optical component module. The first portion light and the second portion light are respectively received by the first light modulator and the second light modulator, and transformed into the image of the first viewing angle image and the second viewing angle respectively. Then, the image of the first viewing angle and the second viewing angle are projected to the display screen by the projection lens simultaneously.

Display apparatus for displaying multiple images of viewing angles

A light source system for stereoscopic image is disclosed, which includes a first multiband filter, a second multiband filter, a first relay lens assembly, a second relay lens assembly, a light source module, a light outputting portion and a light valve device. The first and the second relay lens assemblies are disposed between the first multiband filter and the second multiband filter. The light source module and the first multiband filter are together disposed at one side of the first relay lens assembly. The light outputting portion and the second multiband filter are together disposed at one side of the second relay lens assembly. The light valve device is disposed between the first and the second relay lens assemblies. Therefore, the light source system configures the light path by controlling the light valve device and produces beams with different bands.

A light source system for a stereoscopic projection apparatus is provided. The light source system has a light source module, a first lens unit, a light splitting element, a color wheel module and a light integration element. The light source module provides a light beam, which is transferred by the first lens unit to the light splitting element. Then, the light beam is split by the light splitting element into a first light beam with a first bandwidth and a second light beam with a second bandwidth. The first and the second light beams are then received and transformed by the color wheel into a third light beam and a fourth light beam which are then transmitted to the light integration element. With the above arrangement, the light source system can be applied on a projection apparatus to provide a stereoscopic image.

Light source system for a stereoscopic projection apparatus

A projection apparatus for providing multiple viewing angle images is disclosed. The projection apparatus includes a light source module, a polarizing light splitting element, a first and a second reflective light valve and a light combining element. The polarizing light splitting element has a light incident surface, a first light exiting surface and a second light exiting surface. The light incident surface optically couples with the light source module, while the first and the second light exiting surfaces optically couple with the first and the second reflective light valves respectively. The light combining element optically couples to the reflective light valves. Further, the light source module sequentially provides a first light beam and a second light beam. The light beams are transferred via the polarizing light splitting element, the reflective light valves and the light combining element to provide at least four viewing angle images to the viewers.

Projection apparatus for providing multiple viewing angle images

A projection apparatus is disclosed. The projection apparatus includes a light source module, a first light splitting element, a first light valve unit, a first light modulator, a second light modulator and a light consolidating element. A light beam is provided by the light source module, and is split into a first and a second polarized light beam by the first light splitting element. In different time sequences, the first and the second polarized light beams are formed into a first, a second, a third and a fourth image light by the first light valve unit. Then, these image lights are transformed into viewing angle images by the first and the second light modulators. Then, via the light consolidating element, the first, the second, the third and the fourth view angle images are projected to a viewer and a stereoscopic image is formed.

A system and a method for time-multiplexed autostereoscopic display are disclosed, wherein the system includes a projector, an optical relaying device and a slit array. The projector can project a plurality of rays of different directions in different time sequences respectively. The optical relaying device is optically coupled with the projector for relaying the rays. The slit array is optically coupled with the optical relaying device for being illuminated by the rays. The slit array further has a plurality of regions which are illuminated by the rays respectively; and each of the regions has a plurality of slits which are turned on sequentially for a part of the rays to pass therethrough. Therefore, the display system can reduce the light loss of the rays each time when a 3D virtual image is formed.

System and method for time-multiplexed autostereoscopic display

The present invention is a light source system for stereoscopic projection, wherein the light source system has a light source module, a color wheel module, two reflectors and a multiband filter. The light source module is disposed at a first side of a rotary wheel of the color wheel module. Opposite to the light source module, the two reflectors and the multiband filter are disposed at a second side of the rotary wheel. Furthermore, the multiband filter is disposed between and is optically coupled with the two reflectors. With the above arrangements, in different time sequences, the light source system could provide different light beams of different wavebands to a light valve of a projector, which could thus project a right-eye view angle image and a left-eye view angle image to the viewers to form a stereoscopic image.

A light source system includes two solid-state light sources, two filters, a rotary wheel, a first reflector, a second reflector and a multiband filter is provided. The rotary wheel has a first surface and a second surface opposite to the first surface. The two solid-state light sources and the two filters are disposed in front of the first surface. The first surface includes a first waveband converting region, a reflecting region and a transmission region. The second surface includes a second waveband converting region is symmetrical to the first waveband converting region. The first reflector, the second reflector and the multiband filter are disposed in front of the second surface. Furthermore, the multiband filter is disposed between and optically coupled with the first and the second reflectors. With these arrangements, the light source system could provide light beams of different wavebands to the light valve of a projector.

Light source system

An illumination system is provided, which includes a first solid-state light source, a second solid-state light source, a third solid-state light source, a light combining element, a light homogenizing element, a first plate and a first band-stop filter. The first solid-state light source to the third solid-state light source respectively provide a first-wavelength light beam to a third-wavelength light beam. The first plate has a first surface opposite to an outputting surface of the light combining element and a first phosphor, while the first phosphor is excited by the third-wavelength light beam to produce a fourth-wavelength light beam. The first band-stop filter allows the first-wavelength light beam to the third-wavelength light beam to pass therethrough and reflects the fourth-wavelength light beam. With these arrangements, the illumination system can strengthen the light of a specific color and the volume of the illumination system can be reduced.

Illumination system

A light source module and a display system comprising the light source module are provided. The light source system comprises a first light source module and a second light source module. The first light source module provides a light beam of a first color, and the second light source module provides a plurality of light beams, having colors different from the first color light beam. The light source system turns on the light beam of first color and the light beams with different colors according to a predetermined integrated timing, and transmits them to the light guiding system. The light guiding system guides the light beams provided by the light source system to the imaging system for imaging. The first light source module further comprises two light beams with the same color and switches in turn to function as one light beam. The switching is realized by using the mirror wheel.

Light source module and display system comprising the light source module

A projection apparatus arranged such that the first light source, the second light source and the third light source provide the first colored light, the second colored light and the third colored light, respectively. The first digital micromirror device (DMD) modulates and reflects the first colored light, while the second DMD modulates and reflects the second and third colored lights guided by the first light guiding device. Subsequently, the second light guiding device guides the colored lights reflected from the first DMD and the second DMD to the projection lens.

A light source system and a display apparatus comprising the light source system are provided. The display apparatus comprises the light source system and an imaging system. The light source system is configured to provide a light for imaging. The light source system comprises a mirror wheel and at least two light source modules, configured to provide at least two light beams respectively. These light beams are lit up according to a predetermined sequence. After being reflected by or directly passing through the mirror wheel, the light beams form a continuous light, traveling into the imaging system for imaging on a screen.
