Systems and methods for data aggregation and processing are provided in manner that is decentralized and preserves privacy. A data aggregation and computation system may include an interface, a controller, and one or more clusters of computation nodes. The interface may receive an inquiry from a requesting entity for computing information regarding an individual based on pieces of information held by a plurality of entities. The controller may communicate an identifier for the individual to a processor system associated with each of the entities based on the inquiry. The clusters of computation nodes may each receive encrypted data fragments from each of the processor systems, the data fragments comprising unrecognizable fragments that no individual processor system can re-assemble to recover the information, perform secure, multi-party computations based on the data fragments, and generate a result based on the secure, multi-party computations for the individual.

Systems and methods for secure data aggregation and computation

A method of managing fingers for multipath signals in a wireless communication device. In one embodiment, the present invention recites receiving multipath signals at a wireless communication device. The present embodiment then acquires one of the multipath signals in a searcher portion of the wireless communication device and determines a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) level of the one multipath signal. Next, the present embodiment evaluates the multipath signal for categorization into one of a plurality of states and then generates a finger assignment by selectively providing the multipath signal for a demodulation operation based upon its state. The present embodiment then receives the finger assignment from the searcher portion of the communication device and determines a signal-strength for the finger assignment. The present embodiment then enables the finger assignment for a combine operation if the signal-strength for the finger assignment satiates a first signal-strength threshold. The present embodiment also prevents the finger assignment from being deassigned if the signal-strength of the finger assignment satiates a second threshold, wherein the second signal-strength threshold is less than the first signal-strength threshold.

Method and apparatus for combined finger management and finger lock for a multipath signals in a wireless communication system

A sleep control system and method are provided that permit a reference clock and the direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) modem in a mobile station receiver to be turned off and turned back on at arbitrary points in time while still maintaining accurate base station system time. Accurate timing is made possible through a number of techniques including precise initial calibration using a rising edge/falling edge averaging system, determining the sleep clock and reference clock frequencies, and the determination of the frequency drift of the sleep clock that occurred during the previous sleep interval.

System and method for recovering system time in direct sequence spread spectrum communications

Search scheduling circuitry for use with a wireless communication device, such as a mobile telephone, includes a search time calculator, a search period calculator, a queue circuit, and a search time circuit. The search scheduler generates a prioritized list of cells to be adaptively searched in response to the network requirements and the capability of the search hardware. If there are very few 'handoff' possibilities the search hardware may be turned off and then back on in time to meet the search rate requirements. However, if there is an excessive number of possibilities, the searcher list is prioritized and pared to assure the most likely candidates are searched. This search scheduling minimizes battery power consumption while meeting the search rate requirement and maximizes use of the search hardware for measuring signal quality from multiple neighboring cells and estimating the delay profile of active cells.

Method and apparatus for scheduling cell search in CDMA mobile receivers

A method for managing multipath signals to be demodulated by a receiver with multiple demodulators. The method includes a series of steps, including receiving the multipath signals at a wireless communication receiver device, finding the multipath signals having sufficient signal strength for demodulation, and measuring an arrival time of one of the multipath signals. In one embodiment, the present invention also recites measuring a signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) level of one of the multipath signals, updating a multipath list with the arrival time and the signal-to-noise ratio if the multipath signal is identified based upon the arrival time with one of the multipath signals existing in the multipath list, and identifying newly-found multipath signals and evaluating one of the newly-found multipath signals based on the signal-to-noise ratio for categorization into one of a plurality of states. Additionally, in one embodiment of the present invention, the present method includes evaluating one of the existing multipath signals based on the signal-to-noise ratio for moving the multipath signal from one to another of a plurality of states, selectively providing one of the multipath signals for a demodulation operation based upon its state, selectively rejecting one of the multipath signals from the multipath list based on the signal-to-noise ratio, and repeating several of the above mentioned operations to process all found multipath signals.

Method and apparatus for managing multipath signals for a receiver with multiple demodulators

An apparatus and method thereof for sampling multipath signal data in a receiver. The apparatus includes a plurality of demodulators coupled in parallel, each of the plurality of demodulators receiving digital baseband signal data and demodulating the digital baseband signal data, a controller coupled to the plurality of demodulators, and a timer coupled to the controller. The timer generates a controller interrupt at a specified frequency. The controller interrupt causes the controller to sample demodulated signal data from the plurality of demodulators. The specified frequency is greater than the symbol rate.
