The operation apparatus includes a memory configured to store at least one instruction and a plurality of homomorphic ciphertexts, and a processor configured to execute the at least one instruction. The processor is configured to generate first matrix data having a row of a predetermined size and a column of a predetermined size using the plurality of homomorphic ciphertexts, generate a plurality of third matrix data having a row which is the size of the predetermined column and the column of the predetermined size by arranging second matrix data having a row which is 1/n size of the predetermined column and the column of the predetermined size sequentially n-times, and perform a homomorphic multiplication operation between same rows and same columns using the first matrix data and the generated respective third matrix data.

The device may comprise: a storage unit in which tag information is stored; a communication unit; and a processor which: acquires a biometric code string from biometric data sensed by a sensor; transmits a first cryptogram obtained by encrypting the biometric code string and the tag information, a first masking code, and a first masking encryption code obtained by encrypting the first masking code to the server through the communication unit; when tag information contained in a second cryptogram received from the server is identified as a value acquired on the basis of the stored tag information, decrypts the second cryptogram so as to acquire a value obtained by adding a distance value and a second masking code derived from the second cryptogram; and transmits the acquired value to the server through the communication unit, wherein the distance value includes a distance value between the biometric code string and a biometric code string already stored in the server, and the second masking code includes a code acquired by the server on the basis of the first masking code.

Disclosed are an electronic device for obfuscating user data and a server for decoding the same. A method for controlling an electronic device according to the present disclosure comprises the steps of: acquiring a security parameter according to data transmitted to an external server; applying an obfuscation algorithm to the data by using the security parameter; and transmitting the data, to which the obfuscation algorithm has been applied, to the external server. In addition, a method for controlling the server comprises the steps of: receiving the multiple pieces of split data, to which the obfuscation algorithm has been applied, from the electronic device; acquiring at least one piece of candidate data on the basis of the received multiple pieces of split data, to which the obfuscation algorithm has been applied; and acquiring data comprising the fingerprint among the at least one piece of candidate data.
