Disclosed are an impeller of a suction-enforced type, and a fan-motor for a vacuum cleaner having the same. The fan-motor having the impeller of the suction-enforced type includes: a motor housing; a motor installed in the motor housing; an impeller casing coupled to the upper portion of the motor housing; the impeller of the suction-enforced type installed in the impeller casing and connected to a rotation shaft of the motor; and a guide vane installed at the lower portion of the impeller of the suction-enforced type, for guiding the air sucked into the impeller casing to the motor side. As a result, suction efficiency of the impeller is improved, and thus efficiency of the fan-motor for the vacuum cleaner is improved.

An insulation transformer and a key input circuit having the same are disclosed. The insulation transformer includes: a core having a certain gap; and primary and secondary coils wound on the core. According to the insulation transformer, the operation deficiency of the insulation transformer can be reduced and thus the signal transmission efficiency can be improved. Also, the key input circuit including: an insulation transformer includes a core having a certain gap, and primary and secondary coils wound on the core; a microcomputer connected with the primary coil; and a key input unit connected with the secondary coil and including multiple resistors and switches. According to the key input circuit having the insulation transformer, the reliability of the operation of the key input circuit can be improved and user inconvenience that may be caused by an operation error can be prevented.

Disclosed is a refrigerator having a dispenser, including a main body having a cooling chamber and a door for selectively shielding the cooling chamber. The refrigerator also includes a container accommodating unit and a communication chute that passes through a front surface of the door and guides content to a dispensing cavity defined by the container accommodating unit. The refrigerator further includes an obstruction unit disposed in the container accommodating unit, and movable, about a plane perpendicular to the front which content guided by the communication chute is relatively obstructed by the obstruction unit and a second position in which content guided by the communication chute is relatively unobstructed by the obstruction unit.

Disclosed is a high speed type impeller, including: a body having a shaft coupling hole into which a rotation shaft of a motor is coupled, the outer circumference of the body being widened from the top to bottom end in the insertion direction of the rotation shaft to form a bent surface, a step portion shadowed in the radial direction being formed on the top end of the body; a plurality of blades installed on the bent surface of the body to be bent at a predetermined angle to the rotation shaft direction; and an upper reinforcing ring installed at the step portion of the body. Even through the impeller is made of a low cost material, the reinforcing ring reinforces the weak portion of the impeller to improve durability. Reliability of the impeller is attained with high economical efficiency.

The present invention relates to a switched reluctance motor and a connection method for a sensor shutter thereof. The switched reluctance motor in accordance with the present invention includes a stator; a rotor rotating with respect to the stator centering around a rotational shaft; and a sensor shutter having a sensing part through which a light can be passed and connected to an end portion of the rotational shaft, and a stopping ring is connected to the end portion of the rotational shaft so as to prevent the sensor shutter from being separated. Accordingly, the sensor shutter can be quickly and easily connected and the length of the rotational shaft can be decreased.

A switched reluctance motor is provided that includes a housing, a stator and a rotor received and installed within the housing, and a rotor position detector that detects a rotational position of the rotor at an outer side of the housing. With such structure, assembly may be quickly and easily performed, a sensor may be easily repaired and checked, and a bad influence on the sensor by temperature and dust may be reduced.

Disclosed is a switched reluctance motor which can reduce noise and prevent overheating in rotation of a rotor. The switched reluctance motor includes: a stator core having a plurality of inwardly protruded poles at predetermined intervals; coils wound around the protruded poles of the stator core; and a rotor core being rotatably housed inside the stator core with a predetermined gap, and having a plurality of outwardly protruded poles along the radial direction, and round units protruded from the front ends of each protruded pole of the rotor core starting to meet each protruded pole of the stator core, so that gaps between the protruded poles of the stator core and the protruded poles of the rotor core can be gradually reduced.

Traveling equipment for a cleaner comprises: a traveling motor mounted to a cleaner head part and for generating a normal torque and a reverse torque; a traveling shaft penetrated and coupled to the traveling motor and supplied with the torque of the traveling motor; traveling wheels coupled to both sides of the traveling shaft; an operation mode selection means for selectively regulating the automatic back and forth operation function and manual function; a control means for outputting a control signal upon receiving a signal selected by the operation mode selection means; and a driving means for driving the traveling motor upon receiving the control signal of the control means. By this, the user's convenience is raised and the simplicity of the components is acquired.

A switched reluctance motor includes: a stator including a cylindrical body, a plurality of salient poles coupled to an inner circumferential surface of the cylindrical body and provided with a winding coil, and an exterior member formed as a cylindrical shape by encompassing an assembly formed by coupling of the cylindrical body, the salient poles and the like; a rotor rotatably inserted inside the exterior member of the stator; a rotary shaft coupled to the rotor; and a phase indication magnet coupled to the rotor or the rotary shaft. Accordingly, an external structure of the motor is simplified, and the number of components and the number of assembling processes are remarkably reduced.

Disclosed herein is an upright vacuum cleaner with a swing brush. The upright vacuum cleaner comprises an upright cleaner body having a suction nozzle, a drive unit mounted in the cleaner body for moving the cleaner body forward or rearward, a grip unit slidably mounted to the upper end of the cleaner body, the grip unit having a sensor for sensing a sliding direction of the grip unit, a control unit for controlling the drive unit to be operated, such that the cleaner body is moved forward or rearward, based on information sensed by the sensor, a movement converting unit for converting a rotating movement of the drive unit to an angular reciprocating movement, and a swing brush connected to the movement converting unit for performing the angular reciprocating movement. The swing brush is mounted in a suction nozzle of the cleaner body while being in contact with the floor.

A Switched Reluctance (SR) generator having improved efficiency at low and high speed is disclosed. The SR generator includes a step-up converter for controlling an excitation voltage of an excitation capacitor capable of providing a phase winding with an excitation current. Therefore, the SR generator can control the excitation current, and can provide a phase winding with a sufficient excitation current, thereby improving efficiency. The step-up converter is arranged between a battery capable of storing generated power and the excitation capacitor, boosts a voltage of the battery, and provides the excitation capacitor with the boosted voltage. Therefore, the SR generator does not include an additional power-supply unit for a boosting function, resulting in simplification of an overall structure and reduction of a production cost.

Disclosed is an SR (switched reluctance) generator with improved generation capability in a low-speed range. The SR generator is configured such that an inductance of a phase winding wound around a stator is increased in a low-speed range and is reduced in a high-speed range. Accordingly, a variation rate of the inductance relative to a phase angle is increased in a low-speed range, resulting in an increased output energy in a low-speed range and an improved generation efficiency. The phase winding of the stator may be configured to have a single phase. Accordingly, since the generator is configured with the reduced number of switches, it can be manufactured inexpensively and simply.

Disclosed herein is an upright vacuum cleaner having a movement control grip that is capable of performing switch between automatic operation mode and manual operation mode on the movement control grip. The grip comprises a grip body, having a square section, connected to the upper end of a cleaner body while being bent to the cleaner body, upper and lower guide members vertically connected to each other while surrounding the grip body such that the upper and lower guide members can be slid along the outer surface of the grip body, a grip returning unit disposed at the grip body for resiliently returning the upper and lower guide members to their original positions, and a grip sensor unit mounted at the grip body for sensing the forward or rearward movement direction of upper and lower guide members relative to the grip body.

The present invention discloses a suction head for a vacuum cleaner, including a casing having a suction port for sucking alien substances from the floor, an agitator rotatably installed inside the suction port, a plurality of brushes being arranged on the agitator in the length direction, an agitator driving unit for driving the agitator to perform reciprocating rotation in a predetermined angle range, and a resonance unit for resonating the reciprocating rotation of the agitator driving unit. Disclosed is a single-phase switched reluctance motor (SRM) driving apparatus and method which enables a high-speed and high-efficiency SRM and can minimize the switching frequency of elements for driving the SRM. The SRM driving apparatus includes a smoothing circuit section for smoothing an input power supply, a motor driving section for receiving a voltage smoothed by the smoothing circuit section and supplying the voltage to a motor in accordance with a control signal, a plurality of sensors for sensing a rotating speed and a phase of the motor, and a microcomputer for receiving one selected among signals sensed by the plurality of sensors and outputting the control signal for controlling the motor driving section.
