A developing unit and a photosensitive unit respectively have engaging mechanism parts that fit in each other in the longitudinal direction so as to integrate the developing unit and the photosensitive unit. The developing unit includes, as the engaging mechanism part, a first holding member to hold the front end part of a drum shaft. The photosensitive unit includes, as the engaging mechanism part, a second holding member to hold the rear end part of a roller shaft. The first holding member and the second holding member are provided in a slidable manner in a direction in which the developing roller and the photosensitive drum separate from each other, and furthermore are biased toward a direction in which the developing roller and the photosensitive drum come close to each other.

An image forming apparatus comprises a developing unit and a developing unit attaching portion that is provided in an apparatus main body. The developing unit and the developing unit attaching portion are provided with an insertion guide. The insertion guide makes the developing unit a state it is inclined from a normal posture so as to be moved on a position departed from a photoreceptor drum during a period from a start of insertion of the developing unit into the developing unit attaching portion until just before completion of the insertion, and makes, during a period from just before completion of the insertion until completion of the insertion, the developing unit turn according to an insertion operation of the developing unit so as to be brought close to the photoreceptor drum, whereby the developing unit is positioned so as to take the normal posture.

An organic EL display panel including: a substrate; pixel electrodes that are arrayed in a matrix above the substrate; first organic functional layers that are on or above the pixel electrodes in one-to-one correspondence with the pixel electrodes, the first organic functional layers spaced apart from one another; a second organic functional layer that continuously covers the first organic functional layers; and a counter electrode that opposes the pixel electrodes and covers the second organic functional layer. In the organic EL display panel, the first organic functional layers each include a hole injection layer, and the second organic functional layer has greater electric resistance than each of the first organic functional layers and has a portion extending into an absence region, the absence region being a space between adjacent ones of the first organic functional layers.

Control method used in a remote control system

The focus is automatically shifted among a plurality of application windows which are displayed concurrently. In order to achieve this, an interruption of communication processing started by an application corresponding to a first window displayed with the focus is detected. Then a second window to which the focus is to shift is determined based on the detection result and state data. As a result, the focus is automatically shifted, based on the determination result, from the first window displayed on a display section to the second window.

A developing device is disclosed which includes a developing tank, a developing roller, a carrying member, and a filter. Rotation of the developing roller causes a first airflow directed from the outside of the developing tank through an air path to the inside of the developing tank. Rotation of the carrying member causes a second airflow directed from below in an upward direction inside the developing tank. Collision between the first airflow and the second airflow causes a third airflow directed from the inside of the developing tank through the filter to the outside of the developing tank and further from the outside through the filter back to the inside of the developing tank. This arrangement prevents not only filter clogging but also a toner leak to the outside of the developing device.

There is provided a detection system capable of simultaneously detecting a plurality of fluorescences or phosphorescences having different dominant wavelengths generated from a minute region and a probe therefor. A fluorescence detection system includes a probe having a lens and optical fibers and arranged on one end thereof. The probe receives excitation light with a dominant wavelength and excitation light with a dominant wavelength at one end of the lens and converges the excitation lights at the solution containing Cy3 and Cy5 in a channel inside a microchemical chip and the probe receives fluorescence with a dominant wavelength and fluorescence with a dominant wavelength at the other end of the lens and converges the fluorescences at the tips of the optical fibers.
