A wireless tag communication device includes a communication device, a position detection sensor, a memory, and a processor. The communication device communicates with a wireless tag. The sensor detects information indicating a self position of the wireless tag communication device. The memory stores the self position, based on the information detected by the position detection sensor, in association with a reading result obtained by reading a wireless tag by the communication device. The processor estimates, using a processing method selected according to a distance between the self position, which is specified based on the information detected by the position detection sensor, and an estimated position of the wireless tag, a position of the wireless tag based on reading results obtained by reading the wireless tag at three different self positions each including the self position serving as an endpoint of the distance, the reading results being stored.

Wireless tag communication device and wireless tag communication method

A wireless tag communication device includes an antenna, a communication control circuit, a camera, a sensor, and a processor. The antenna has directivity. The communication control circuit communicates with a wireless tag via the antenna. The camera captures an image in which a direction in which the directivity of the antenna is maximized coincides with a capturing direction. The sensor detects brightness in a first image captured by the camera. The processor calculates a detection position of a wireless tag as a search target in the first image and displays on a display the first image and a second image in which the first image is masked with a mask density according to a sensor value detected by the sensor in an area other than an explicit area with the detection position of the wireless tag as a base point.

Wireless tag communication device

A wireless tag communication device includes a communication control circuit, a sensor, and a processor. The communication control circuit is configured to communicate with a wireless tag via an antenna. The sensor is configured to detect a variation amount of a direction of the antenna. The processor is configured to output an alert when the variation amount of the direction of the antenna detected by the sensor is less than a reference value.

A wireless tag communication device includes a directional antenna, a communication control circuit configured to communicate with a wireless tag through the directional antenna, a camera positioned such that a direction along which a signal strength of the directional antenna is maximized and a shooting direction of the camera coincide with each other, and a controller. The controller is configured to estimate a tag direction where the wireless tag exists, estimate a position of the wireless tag communication device, estimate a position of the wireless tag based on the estimated tag direction and the estimated position of the wireless tag communication device, and control a display to display a first image captured by the camera and a second image showing an explicit area containing the estimated position of the wireless tag.

A commodity container includes a main body with a container space and a radio frequency reader with a communication range that covers an opening of the container space. The radio frequency reader outputs tag information based on a radio frequency signal from a wireless tag and outputs time variation information indicating a time variation of the radio frequency signal. A registration device is attached to the main body and includes a communication interface to receive the tag and time variation information, and a processor configured to determine a time variation in a positional relationship of the wireless tag and the radio frequency reader based on the time variation information and update a commodity registration list based on the determined time variation of the positional relationship.

According to one embodiment, a reading apparatus includes a shielding body, an antenna, and a reader and writer. The shielding body is formed in a box shape with an upper opening, to place an accommodating body and to shield radio waves. The antenna is provided in the shielding body to receive information from an RFID tag attached to a product that is passing through the opening. The reader and writer is connected to the antenna to read information of the product from the information received by the antenna.

According to one embodiment, a merchandise reading apparatus is equipped with a storage chamber formed of a radio wave shielding member and a reading apparatus which reads information of a radio tag from merchandise attached with the radio tag and stored in the storage chamber, and at least a part of the storage chamber is formed of a light transmitting member.

A wireless tag reading system includes a body and three or more tag reading apparatuses arranged along a vertical direction on the body and configured to read identification information from wireless tags using a plurality of frequencies. A total number of the tag reading apparatuses is greater than or equal to a total number of the frequencies, and reading ranges of two of the wireless tag reading apparatuses that are adjacent to each other partially overlap. According to an embodiment, a wireless tag reader apparatus includes a reader and a processor. The reader acquires the position information of the wireless tag based on the phase difference between the carrier waves and the response waves transmitted and received by the first antenna and the second antenna. The processor determines whether or not the wireless tag is in the predetermined zone based on the position information acquired by the reader.

A management device includes an antenna, a reader, and a processor. The antenna is positionable at a position near a conveyance path. The reader is configured to output wireless tag information based on a radio wave generated by a wireless tag and received by the antenna. The processor is configured to detect passage of an article through a predetermined position on the conveyance path based on an identifier of the article included in the wireless tag information and sign change of a slope of the phase of the radio wave, determine a position of the article based on a timing of the sign change, and store the determined position of the article in correspondence with the identifier of the article.

There is provided a storage apparatus including a storage case which stores a specimen container accommodating a specimen inside and having a wireless tag recorded with identification information on a side surface, and an antenna surrounding the periphery of the specimen container stored in the storage case.

According to one embodiment, an antenna apparatus includes a ground plate having an opening, a ground layer on a first side of the ground plate, an antenna on the first side of the ground plate and connected to the ground layer, the antenna being disposed around the opening, and a conductive member on the first side of the ground plate to contact an outer perimeter of the opening. The conductive member is electrically connected to the ground layer.
