A wireless communication device includes a first transceiver operable according to a first radio technology and a second transceiver operable according to a second radio technology and operable concurrently with the first transceiver. The wireless communication device further includes an antenna configured to transmit radio transmissions of the second transceiver, and a filter circuit coupling the second transceiver with the antenna. The filter circuit includes a first frequency path and a second frequency path in parallel. The first frequency path passes a first set of frequencies of the radio transmissions and the second frequency path passes a second set of frequencies of the radio transmissions. One of the first frequency path or the second frequency path is configured to filter the radio transmissions of the second transceiver to remove signals corresponding to the one or more operating frequencies of the first transceiver from the radio transmissions of the second transceiver.

Systems and methods for transceiver coexistence filtering

A system, method and device for adjusting a communication parameter for a network communicating with a communication device are provided. An electronic device monitors a quality of a wireless connection between the electronic device and a first access point. Based on the monitoring and a collection of parameters relating to controlling handover between access points, a determination is made regarding whether the electronic device should be handed over to a second access point from the first access point, where the parameters differ for different combinations of the first access point and candidate destination access points for handover of the electronic device from the first access point.

The circuit comprises: a printed circuit board (PCB) having the power amplifier mounted on the PCB; a first electrical track in the PCB providing part of a connection from a low band power input terminal of the power amplifier to a battery terminal; a first capacitor connected to the first electrical track, the low band power input terminal and a ground reference in the PCB; a second capacitor connected in parallel to the first capacitor and connected to the first electrical track, the low band power input terminal and the ground reference; a first high filter choke having a first end connected to the first electrical track and a second end connected to the battery terminal; a second electrical track connected to a low band power input terminal of the power amplifier; and a second high filter choke a having a first end connected to the second electrical track and a second end connected to the battery terminal.

System and method for controlling radio frequency transmissions from an electronic device

A mobile wireless communications device includes a wireless local area network (WLAN) radio configured to generate a WLAN transmit signal, and a Bluetooth radio configured to generate a Bluetooth transmit signal. A circulator is coupled downstream of an antenna. A transmit path couples the WLAN radio and the Bluetooth radio to the circulator such that the WLAN radio and the Bluetooth radio are capable of transmitting simultaneously. The disclosure relates to a printed circuit board (PCB) for an electronic circuit for a power amplifier of a wireless communication device. The PCB comprises: a substrate; a ground reference in the substrate; first through fourth locations and first and second pads in the substrate; and first and second electrical tracks in the substrate. The locations are for components for the PCB, including a 0 ohm component, and pads connect tracks to the components. The first pad is for a high band power input terminal of the amplifier. The first track connects the first pad to the second location. The third location is in the first track for placement of a first capacitor in a circuit between the first pad and ground. The second pad is for an output terminal of the amplifier. The second track connects the second pad to an output stage circuit of the amplifier.

The disclosure relates to an electronic circuit for attenuating harmonics in a power amplifier. The circuit comprises: a printed circuit board (PCB); a first electrical track in the PCB providing a connection from a high band power input terminal of the amplifier to a battery terminal; a first capacitor connected to the first track, the high band power input terminal and a ground reference in the PCB; a first high filter choke connected to the first track and to the terminal; a second electrical track connected to a low band power input terminal of the amplifier; a circuit implemented on the PCB and connected to an output terminal of the amplifier for an output signal from the amplifier, comprising a first filter and a low pass filter, the first filter connected to a 0 ohm resistor which is connected to the low pass filter.

A mobile wireless communications device includes a housing and at least one circuit board. Radio frequency (RF) circuitry is carried by the circuit board and includes a transceiver. A processor is carried by the at least one circuit board and operative with the RF circuitry. An antenna is mounted within the housing. An antenna contact is secured on the at least one circuit board and operatively connects the RF circuitry and engages the antenna at an antenna contact point. Electromagnetic interference (EMI) shielding is positioned at the antenna contact point and reduces RF inductance effects.
