A deep groove ball bearing providing an inner ring, an outer ring and a plurality of balls being arranged between the inner ring and the outer ring. The inner ring and the outer ring each include a raceway for the plurality of balls. Each raceway encompasses the plurality of balls symmetrically. The deep groove ball bearing is lubricated by a lubricant being arranged on each axial side of the plurality of balls. The raceways are offset in the same axial direction from the axial center of the inner ring and the outer ring such that the raceways are offset to the axial side of the deep groove ball bearing where the shear rate acting on the lubricant is higher than on the other axial side of the deep groove ball bearing.

Deep groove ball bearing

The invention relates to a rolling element bearing having at least one inner bearing inner and at least one outer bearing ring. Rolling elements are arranged between the inner ring and the outer ring, and the rolling elements are guided by a cage. To improve the lubrication of the bearing the invention proposes that the cage includes at least one opening, preferably a bore. The opening penetrates the cage from a radial inner surface to a radial outer surface.

This bearing comprises a fixed outer ring and a rotatable inner ring, and at least one lubrication ring having at least one lubrication duct extending between an outer surface and an inner surface of the lubrication ring. The at least one lubrication duct is placed so that the scalar product of a vector collinear to the longitudinal axis of the lubrication duct, and a vector (VL) collinear to the tangent line (L) to an outer cylindrical surface of the inner ring, at the point where the longitudinal axis of the lubrication duct () intersects the outer cylindrical surface of the inner ring, and oriented in the same direction as the rotation direction (F) of the inner ring, is strictly superior to zero, said vectors being projected in a plane (P) perpendicular to the rotation axis of the bearing.
