A transfer paper used for a transfer printing method using sublimation textile ink, comprising a base paper and one or more coating layer(s) provided on at least one side of the base paper, wherein an outermost coating layer positioned on the outermost side with respect to the base paper contains at least a pigment, a binder, a polyacrylic acid salt and an acetylene glycol derivative, has image deterioration resistance, good color development property and excellent adhesion property.

Coated printing paper for industrial inkjet printing press

The present invention provides a coated printing paper which is for use in an industrial inkjet printing machine and which has printability that can accommodate the printing speed of an industrial inkjet printing machine while having printability for a conventional printing machine such as an offset press. Coated printing paper for industrial inkjet printer and method for manufacturing printed products using the same

The present invention provides a method for manufacturing printed products using an industrial inkjet printer and the method does not generate soiling of the images and printing unevenness. The present invention provides a method for manufacturing a printed product using an industrial inkjet printer, comprising: a step for printing on coated printing paper using an industrial inkjet printer, wherein the printing speed of the industrial inkjet printer is 60 m/min or more, the coated printing paper contains a support and a coating layer, and the coating layer contains ground calcium carbonate, having a cumulative frequency of a particle diameter of 1.0 &#x3bc;m or less in a volume-based particle size distribution of 95% by volume or more and a mean particle diameter of 0.1 &#x3bc;m to 0.28 &#x3bc;m, at 60% by mass or more of the total amount of pigment in the coating layer.

Method for manufacturing printed products using industrial inkjet printer

The object of the present invention is to provide a coated printing paper used for ink jet printing machines, which has an ink fixing property and ink absorption property corresponding to ink jet printing, which inhibits poor dot diffusion, and which is excellent in abrasion resistance property of printed portions. According to the present invention, provided is a coated printing paper comprising a base paper, an undercoating layer which is applied on at least one surface of the base paper and contains a pigment and a binder, and one or more coating layers on the undercoating layer, wherein the base paper contains at least one selected from a cationic resin and a multivalent cation salt; the uppermost coating layer contains at least a colloidal silica; and the 75&#xb0; gloss according to JIS Z8741 of the surface of the uppermost coating layer is 40% or more.

Coated printing paper

A coated printing paper has a favorable offset printability, which can achieve good ink fixing and ink absorption properties even in ink jet printing, which has suitable dot diffusion even when printed by an ink jet printer using pigment ink, and can prevent the occurrence of white lines. The coated printing paper comprises a base paper and a coating layer which is applied to at least one surface of the base paper and contains a pigment and a binder as major components, wherein the base paper comprises a cationic compound, the coating layer contains, as a pigment, 50 parts by mass or more of ground calcium carbonate based on 100 parts by mass of total pigments in the coating layer, and the applied amount of the coating layer is 2.0 g/mto 7.0 g/m, both inclusive, per surface.

Ink jet recording sheet and method for producing it

The object of the present invention is to provide an ink jet recording medium which has an ink absorption layer comprising a coating solution containing an alumina hydrate and a water-soluble binder, said ink absorption layer being inhibited from formation of cracks at the drying step and said coating solution being excellent in stability with time. In the ink jet recording medium according to the present invention, the ink absorption layer contains an alumina hydrate and at least two kinds of polyvinyl alcohols differing in saponification degree.

The apparatus for coating a photosensitive material (M) with a processing liquid comprises an activator coating mechanism (43) for metering a constant amount of activator to apply the metered activator to the photosensitive surface of the photosensitive material fed by the pair of introduction rollers. The activator is supplied form a plurality of discharge holes (121) bored in a pipe (122) and is once received by a receiving portion (124). The activator is diffused horizontally and flows downwardly through a plurality of openings (123) bored at the bottom of the receiving portion onto a coating roller (125). The activator is diffused again at the contact between the coating roller and a diffusion film (126) and is coated to the photosensitive material by the coating roller.

Apparatus for processing photosensitive material

The apparatus for coating a lithographic printing plate or a photosensitive material (M) with a processing liquid comprises first and second pairs of feed rollers (41,42: 44,45) for feeding the photosensitive arterial along a predetermined path. A coating roller (125) is provided therebetween. Guide members (48, 49) contact the bottom surface of the photosensitive material and to guide the photosensitive material. The contacts of the guide members and the photosensitive material are at the levels higher than the coating level at which the processing liquid is applied to the photosensitive material to prevent uneven coating of the photosensitive material with the processing liquid after the trailing edge of the photosensitive material has passed the first pairs of the feed rollers (41,42).

A method for processing a photosensitive material characterized in that an exposed photosensitive material is subjected to dip coating with a processing solution, according to which there are no problems encountered in plate making by the conventional dip developing method and coating developing method, rapid processing can be attained, maintenance is easy, less waste processing solution is produced, and lithographic printing plates on which uniform print images can be formed from the top end portion thereof by silver complex diffusion transfer process, and an apparatus used for the processing.

Method for processing photosensitive material and apparatus therefor

Disclosed is a method for making a lithographic printing plate from a photographic element according to the silver complex diffusion transfer process employing a coating development process with a small amount of developer, wherein the coating amount of the developer is 60 ml or less per 1 m.sup.2 of the photographic element and the developer contains a mercaptooxadiazole having an alkyl group of 4 or more carbon atoms or aryl group and an alkanolamine and/or a meso-ionic compound. The resulting lithographic printing plate has a high printing endurance and free from stains on the background in spite of carrying out the development by a coating method with a small amount of the developer for a short period of time.

The present invention provides a printing method using a silver salt lithographic printing plate obtained by imagewise exposing a silver salt lithographic printing plate precursor comprising a support and, provided thereon, at least a silver halide emulsion layer and a physical development nuclei layer and then subjecting the exposed printing plate precursor to silver complex diffusion transfer development and using a dampening composition containing a nonionic surface-active agent represented by the following formula �I!: ##STR1## wherein R represents an alkyl group of 1-9 carbon atoms, and n.sub.1 and n.sub.2 are mol numbers necessary for the polymer having an average molecular weight of 250 or more, and n.sub.1 /n.sub.2 is 0.5-2, and a polymer represented by the following formula �II!: ##STR2## wherein m is a number which provides a number-average molecular weight of 2000-50000 for the polymer. By applying the above-mentioned dampening composition to the silver salt printing plate, a sufficiently high printing performance can be obtained without using colloidal silica or colloidal alumina in the dampening composition.

Method of printing with using lithographic printing plate made by silver

The present invention provides a treating solution for lithographic printing plates having ink receptive silver images in which the compound having a mercapto group or a thione group and an oleophilic group which is added to improve ink-receptivity can be solubilized without damaging the ink-receptivity and with using no solvent and in which hydrophilic colloid particles are excellent in time stability. The solution contains at least one alkanolamine and a compound having a mercapto group or a thione group and an oleophilic group and being free from sulfo group and carboxyl group. Preferably, the solution additionally contains an amino acid and hydrophilic colloid particles which are inorganic fine particles having an average particle size of 0.1 .mu.m or less.
