The resin composition according to one aspect is a resin composition containing a polyamic acid and a solvent, wherein the polyamic acid has a repeating unit represented by the following general formula (1) in a molecular chain, and the molecular chain has a structure represented by the following general formula (2) at one end or both ends. The proportion of the structure represented by the following general formula (2) relative to 1 mol of the repeating unit represented by the following general formula (1) is 0.001 mol or more and 0.1 mol or less. In the following general formulas, Ris a tetravalent organic group; Ris a divalent organic group; and Ris an organic group having 15 or less carbon atoms.

An insulated electric wire includes a linear conductor and one or a plurality of insulating layers formed on an outer peripheral surface of the conductor. At least one of the one or plurality of insulating layers contains a plurality of pores, outer shells are disposed on peripheries of the pores, and the outer shells are derived from shells of hollow-forming particles having a core-shell structure. A varnish for forming an insulating layer contains a resin composition forming a matrix and hollow-forming particles having a core-shell structure and dispersed in the resin composition. In the varnish, cores of the hollow-forming particles contain a thermally decomposable resin as a main component, and shells of the hollow-forming particles contain a main component having a higher thermal decomposition temperature than the thermally decomposable resin.

An object of the present invention is to provide a polyimide tube for a fixing belt, the polyimide tube having good toner fixability. A polyimide tube for a fixing belt of an image-forming apparatus according to the present invention includes a polyimide layer that contains a polyimide as a main component and a needle-like filler, the needle-like filler containing a carbon nanotube and needle-like titanium oxide. A product of a thermal diffusivity (m/s) of the polyimide layer and a breaking elongation (%) of the polyimide layer in an axial direction is 35&#xd7;10or more. An orientation direction of the needle-like filler is preferably an axial direction or a circumferential direction.

The present invention provides a self-heating fuser roller including a tubular resistor layer that generates heat by being supplied with electricity, in which the resistor layer has a plurality of slits. The slits are preferably disposed at regular intervals in a circumferential direction. The slits preferably extend in an axial direction. Preferably, the slits are not provided on both end edges in an axial direction. The slits preferably have an average width of 50 &#x3bc;m or more and 2 mm or less. The slits preferably have an average interval of 30 &#x3bc;m or more and 1 mm or less. The slits are preferably filled with a resin composition. The resistor layer preferably includes a resin matrix and a plurality of electrically conductive particles contained in the resin matrix.

A pregrouted PC steel material () includes a 19-wire-twisted PC strand (), a pregrouted layer () disposed on an outer periphery of the PC strand (), and a sheath () configured to cover an outer periphery of the pregrouted layer (). A filling resin () is filled between steel wires (side wires) (). Since the filling resin () does not exude to the pregrouted layer () before tensioning of the PC strand (), an operation of tensioning the PC strand () is not hindered by curing of the pregrouted layer (). In contrast, since the gap between the steel wires is reduced when the PC strand () is tensioned, the filling resin () flows out (exudes) from between the steel wires to the pregrouted layer () to cure the pregrouted layer () only after the reduction.

An object of the present invention is to provide an adhesive composition for a printed wiring board, the adhesive composition having a good heat resistance. Another object of the present invention is to provide a coverlay for a printed wiring board, a copper-clad laminate, and a printed wiring board, all of which use the adhesive composition for a printed wiring board. The present invention provides an adhesive composition for a printed wiring board, the adhesive composition containing a siloxane-modified polyimide that includes structural units represented by formulae (1) and (2) below, an epoxy resin, and an inorganic filler. The siloxane-modified polyimide has a weight-average molecular weight (Mw) of 25,000 or more and 150,000 or less. A content of the inorganic filler is 10 parts by mass or more and 100 parts by mass or less relative to 100 parts by mass of the siloxane-modified polyimide. In formulae (1) and (2), Ar represents a tetravalent aromatic tetracarboxylic acid residue, m is 0.35 or more and 0.75 or less, and n is 0.25 or more and 0.65 or less. Rin formula (1) represents a divalent diamine siloxane residue, and Rin formula (2) represents a divalent aromatic diamine residue.

Provided is a pregrouted PC steel material comprising a PC steel stranded wire composed of a plurality of steel wires, a pregrout layer disposed on the outer periphery of the PC steel stranded wire so as to accommodate the PC steel stranded wire, a sheath covering the outer periphery of the pregrout layer, and a capsule including a pregrout-hardening agent and a film with which the agent is covered, the capsule being interposed among the steel wires constituting the PC steel stranded wire. The capsule has a strength such that the capsule is not broken before tensioning the PC steel stranded wire but is broken by a tensile force during the tensioning. Also provided is a method for hardening the pregrout layer.

An insulating varnish forms an insulating coating film having a shape that corresponds to the shape of an opening of a die, having a uniform thickness. The insulating varnish is applied onto a surface of a conductor, subsequently passes through a die to remove the excess applied insulating varnish, and is then dried or baked to form an insulating coating film on the surface of the conductor. The insulating varnish has a viscosity of 10 Pa&#xb7;s or more measured by a B-type viscometer at 30&#xb0; C. The insulating varnish preferably contains no filler, and is preferably a polyimide precursor solution. Since the insulating varnish has a high viscosity, baking and solidification can be performed while maintaining a shape formed when the insulating varnish passes through a die.
