An inlet duct for a vehicle battery system includes an inlet part having an inlet hole open toward a vehicle interior, outlet parts divided from the inlet part and having outlet holes so as to supply air introduced to the inlet hole to the battery system via two separated paths, and a grill provided in the inlet part by having multiple ribs forming a grid to cover the inlet hole.

Disclosed is a cooling system for a battery of a vehicle and a method for cooling the battery. A heat absorption member is attached to a terminal of battery cell of the battery for absorbing heat. A controller of the vehicle computes heat generation based on the driver's input about the vehicle's destination, controls the battery to limit its current output after temperature.

Vehicular battery cooling system and method for controlling the same

A battery system of a vehicle is provided and includes a battery module assembly (BMA) formed by overlapping a plurality of battery modules along a first direction, a cooling fan installed to be aligned along the first direction on one side of the BMA and configured to discharge air cooling the BMA while passing therethrough, a low voltage battery installed to be aligned along the first direction on the other side of the BMA, a power relay assembly (PRA) aligned along a second direction perpendicular to the first direction and installed adjacent to the low voltage battery, and a battery management system (BMS) aligned along a third direction perpendicular to the first direction and the second direction and installed adjacent to the low voltage battery and the PRA.

A body of a vehicle equipped with a high-voltage battery is disclosed. The vehicle body includes a rear cross member mounted below the rear side of the front seat so as to be oriented in the lateral direction of the vehicle body, a front cross member mounted in front of the rear cross member so as to be oriented in the lateral direction of the vehicle body, a high-voltage battery mounted between the front cross member and the rear cross member, and a plurality of longitudinal support members mounted to support the bottom of the high-voltage battery and to connect the front cross member and the rear cross member to each other in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle body.

Disclosed is a battery system, including: a plurality of battery modules provided in a space formed between an upper casing and a lower casing; connection busbars respectively connected to terminals of the battery modules; an intermediate busbar connected to the connection busbars such that the connection busbars are electrically connected to each other; and an insulation protector provided with opposite end portions attached to the upper casing, and with a holding portion placed below the intermediate busbar at a position between the opposite end portions.

Battery system

A coolant cooling type battery is provided. The coolant cooling type battery includes battery cells each having tabs to electrically connect the battery cells to each other by respective tabs. The respective tabs of the battery cells are arranged in a unidirectional alignment. Additionally, the battery includes busbars each interconnecting the tabs of adjacent battery cells of the multiple battery cells with each other to form an electrical connection between the battery cells and a coolant channel that is connected to the multiple busbars and has coolant flowing therein.

Coolant cooling type battery

A battery module includes: a first battery cell and a second battery cell which have connection terminals, respectively, and are stacked to allow the connection terminals to face each other; and a connection bar having a first surface and a second surface interconnected to form a V-shaped cross-section. The connection terminal of the first battery cell is bonded to the first surface and the connection terminal of the second battery cell is bonded to the second surface.

Battery module

A battery module having a cooling structure with a minimized size while providing high cooling efficiency is provided. The battery module includes a front plate and a rear plate that are arranged at a front side and a rear side of a battery pack in which a plurality of battery cells is stacked and a heat-dissipating member that is arranged under the battery pack and absorbs heat generated by the battery pack. Additionally, side plates are arranged at lateral ends of the front plate and the rear plate, arranged to be in contact with respective lateral ends of the heat-dissipating member, and include a cooling channel through which a coolant circulates to cool the battery pack.

A battery management system (BMS) may include a battery, a relay configured to electrically connect and disconnect the battery for supplying a voltage (an electric power) to an electric load to and from the electric load, the electric load configured to receive the voltage (the electric power) from the battery, to compare the received voltage (the electric power) with a reference value and to output a wakeup signal according to the compared result, when the relay is electrically connected, and a controller configured to wake up by the wakeup signal, to monitor a state of the battery and to control a state of the relay. It is possible to prevent overdischarge and overcharge of the battery by monitoring the battery through the electric load in a state in which a vehicle is turned off and switching the BSM to a wakeup state only if necessary.

A battery cooling system includes: a housing in which an inlet duct from which air is introduced and an outlet duct through which the air is discharged are mounted; a first battery mounted in the housing and disposed between the inlet duct and the outlet duct; and a low voltage battery disposed between the first battery and the inlet duct.
