A printed wiring board includes a first conductor layer, an insulating layer formed on the first conductor layer, a second conductor layer formed on a surface of the insulating layer and including a conductor circuit, and a via conductor formed in an opening formed in the insulating layer and connecting the first and second conductor layers. The second conductor layer and via conductor include a seed layer and an electrolytic plating layer formed on the seed layer such that the seed layer has a first layer and a second layer formed on the first layer, the first layer has a width greater than a width of the second layer in cross section of the conductor circuit in the second conductor layer and that the electrolytic plating layer has a width greater than the width of the first layer in cross section of the conductor circuit in the second conductor layer.

A wiring substrate includes an insulating layer including inorganic particles and resin, a seed layer formed on a surface of the insulating layer, and a conductor layer including a conductor pattern and formed on the seed layer. The surface of the insulating layer is a roughened surface formed such that the roughened surface of the insulating layer has exposed portions of the inorganic particles and resin with gaps at interfaces where the inorganic particles and the resin are in contact, and the seed layer is formed on the roughened surface of the insulating layer such that the seed layer is formed along the exposed portions of the inorganic particles and resin exposed on the roughened surface of the insulating layer and is not formed in the gaps at the interfaces where the inorganic particles and the resin are in contact.

A water-based white pigment ink for ink-jet recording includes a white pigment and water. The ink further includes a first resin emulsion having a tensile elongation from 600% to 1200% as a film, measured in accordance with JIS K 7127 and a second resin emulsion having a maximum tensile stress from 50 MPa to 80 MPa as a film, measured in accordance with JIS K 7127. The solid content (R1) of the first resin emulsion to be added and the solid content (R2) of the second resin emulsion to be added in the total amount of the ink satisfy R1/R2=0.4 to 2.5.

An image receiving sheet of the present invention for receiving a desired image thereon includes a support layer and an absorbing layer containing heat-meltable or thermoplastic particles. A desired image can be formed in the absorbing layer of the image receiving sheet. Through heating the image receiving sheet formed with the desired image, the heat-meltable or thermoplastic particles are thermally melted or softened to attain a glossy and transparent surface formed with the desired image. As a result, an image bearing product coated with a glossy and transparent surface formed with the desired image is obtained. Through thermally pressing the image receiving sheet formed with the visible image toward an article of arbitrary type, on the other hand, the heat-meltable or thermoplastic particles are thermally melted or softened to be adhered to a surface of the article, so that the desired image is transferred onto the surface of the article.

The image receiving sheet is placed on the transferred medium and they are thermally pressed against each other. When the support member is peeled off, the image covered with the transparent layer remains as a transfer on the transferred medium.
