A fixing device includes a belt, a pad, a pressure rotator, a lubricant supplier, and a collector. The belt forms a loop. The pad is inside the loop of the belt and contacts the belt. The pressure rotator presses the belt against the pad to form a fixing nip between the belt and the pressure rotator. The lubricant supplier supplies lubricant to an inner face of the belt. The collector collects the lubricant. The collector has a first end and a second end. The first end contacts an inner face of one end of the belt in a width direction of the belt. The second end contacts the inner face of another end of the belt opposite to the one end in the width direction.

A fixing device includes a rotatable endless belt, a pressure rotator, a heating rotator, a pad, an intermediate member, and a holder. The pad is disposed inside a loop of the endless belt and pressed by the pressure rotator to form a fixing nip portion between the endless belt and the pressure rotator. The intermediate member has a pad abutment portion to abut on the pad at a fixing nip facing portion of the pad. The holder holds the pad and the intermediate member, and has an intermediate member abutment portion to abut on a pad facing portion of the intermediate member. The pad has a recess in the fixing nip facing portion. The pad abutment portion abuts on the fixing nip facing portion and covers the recess in at least a part of the fixing nip portion corresponding to a passage region of a recording medium.

A fixing device includes a tubular rotator and a first heater disposed inside the tubular rotator and extended in a longitudinal direction of the first heater. The first heater heats the tubular rotator. A second heater is disposed inside the tubular rotator and extended in a longitudinal direction of the second heater. The second heater heats the tubular rotator. A heating adjuster is interposed between the first heater and the second heater. The heating adjuster adjusts heat conduction from the first heater to the second heater. A joint combines the heating adjuster with the second heater.

A fixing device includes a fixing belt that is endless and rotatable in a rotation direction and a nip former stretching the fixing belt and including an elastic layer as a surface layer. A pressure rotator presses against the nip former via the fixing belt to form a fixing nip between the fixing belt and the pressure rotator, through which a recording medium is conveyed. A presser is disposed downstream from an exit of the fixing nip in a recording medium conveyance direction. The presser brings the fixing belt into contact with the pressure rotator.

A pressure rotator presses against the nip former via the fixing belt to form a fixing nip between the fixing belt and the pressure rotator, through which a recording medium is conveyed. A presser is disposed downstream from an exit of the fixing nip in a recording medium conveyance direction. The presser brings the fixing belt into contact with the pressure rotator. A gap retainer contacts the nip former and is coupled to the presser to retain isolation of the presser from the nip former.

A treatment liquid coating apparatus includes a conveyance member to convey a recording medium; a coating roller, to apply treatment liquid on the recording medium, driven to rotate with the conveyance of the conveyance member; a pressure roller to press against the coating roller to hold the recording medium that is placed between the coating roller and the pressure roller; and a reciprocating mechanism to reciprocate the coating roller in a width direction of the recording medium during printing.
