It is intended to provide a method and system for carrying out data production with respect to the actual status of cells as a profile. It is also intended to provide a system and method for presenting time-lapse and/or real-time information of cell interior directly, or as it is, from the viewpoint of a complex system. It is further intended to provide a method of presenting a digital cell. Thus, there is provided a method of producing profile data relating to cell information, comprising the step (a) of arranging cells in an immobilized form on a support and the step (b) of monitoring over time biological factors on or inside the cells or an aggregate thereof, thereby producing profile data for the cells. Furthermore, there is provided a method of producing a digital cell, comprising procuring experimental data by the use of the above method.

In an inexpensive and convenient method for immobilizing a suspension cell, a phospholipid vesicle or the like regardless of the type of cell, on the surface of a solid phase, a cell is immobilized by causing the cell to contact a support having a hydrophobic chain and a hydrophilic chain.

Multiple cell layers are formed with one cell layer formed on another cell layer. A carrier is provided having an alginate gel layer formed on a porous membrane. An extracellular matrix component gel layer or extracellular matrix component sponge layer may be formed on the alginate gel layer. A cell layer is formed on the alginate gel layer, or the extracellular matrix component gel layer or extracellular matrix component sponge layer. The alginate gel layer is solubilized such as with a chelating agent to exfoliate the cell layer from the porous membrane, and the exfoliated cell layer is placed on another cell layer on a carrier. The number of cell layers formed on each other may be 1-10, preferably 1-5, and more preferably 1-3.

Method of forming a structure having multiple cell layers

The invention relates to a method for detecting a low molecular weight compound in a solution which utilizes a quartz resonator and which comprises capturing a low molecular weight compound between an adsorptive film (A) for a low molecular weight compound provided on the surface of a quartz resonator and an adsorptive film (A) for a low molecular weight compound provided on the surface of a signal enhancing material and comprises detecting the shift in frequency of the quartz resonator before and after the capture.
