In a pneumatic tire, a turned back portion of a carcass layer contacts a body portion of the carcass layer in a cross-sectional view in a tire meridian direction to form a closed region surrounding bead cores. A rubber occupancy ratio in the closed region is in a range of 15% or less. The bead cores have a predetermined wire arrangement structure formed by arranging wire cross sections of bead wires in the cross-sectional view in the tire meridian direction. Additionally, a self-contact height (CH) of the carcass layer and a circumferential length (L) of the wire arrangement have a relationship 1.0≤CH/L≤10.0.

Pneumatic tire

A pneumatic tire includes a sound absorbing member having a band shape. The sound absorbing member is bonded to an inner surface of a tread portion along a tire circumferential direction. The sound absorbing member includes a missing portion at at least one location in the tire circumferential direction. The at least one missing portion is disposed in a range corresponding to a light point in a tire main body. A correction body for correcting weight unbalance is fixed to a tire inner surface in the missing portion within the range corresponding to the light point.

A wear state detection device includes an element configured to generate voltage based on deformation of a tread portion during tire rotation, a voltage detection unit configured to detect the voltage generated by the element, a speed detection unit configured to detect vehicle speed or tire rotation speed, a storage area configured to store waveform data over time of the voltage detected by the voltage detection unit together with the vehicle speed or the tire rotation speed detected by the speed detection unit, a calculation unit configured to calculate frequency of exceedance of a predetermined threshold value based on the waveform data in a predetermined speed range and a predetermined time period stored in the storage area, and a determination unit configured to determine a progress condition of wear of the tread portion based on the frequency of exceedance of the predetermined threshold value calculated by the calculation unit.

Tire wear state detection device using waveform data

A wear-condition-sensing device includes an element configured to generate voltage based on deformation of a tread portion during tire rotation, a voltage detection unit configured to detect the voltage generated by the element, a storage area configured to store waveform data over time of the voltage detected by the voltage detection unit, a calculation unit configured to calculate an index value of voltage change based on the waveform data stored in the storage area, and a determination unit configured to determine a progress condition of wear of the tread portion by comparing the index value calculated by the calculation unit with reference information.

Wear-condition-sensing device

In this pneumatic tire, the bead core has a predetermined wire array structure obtained by arranging wire cross-sections of bead wires in a cross-sectional view in a tire meridian direction. The following are defined in the wire array structure: a tangent line that contacts, from the side of a rim fitting face, an innermost layer in the tire radial direction and the wire cross-section on the innermost side and the outermost side in the tire lateral direction; contact points of the tangent line with respect to the wire cross-sections on the innermost side and the outermost side; a middle point of the contact points; and gauges in the tire radial direction from the contact points and middle point to the rim fitting face. In this case, the change rates of the gauges before and after rim assembly each are in the range of 10% to 60%.

In a pneumatic tire, bead cores have a wire arrangement. In a cross-sectional view in a tire meridian direction, a tangential line and a contact point are defined. The tangential line contacts an innermost layer in a radial direction and the wire cross sections innermost and outermost in a lateral direction in the wire arrangement from a rim fitting surface side. The contact point of the tangent line is on the wire cross section on the outermost side. A gauge Wh in the lateral direction from the contact point to the rim fitting surface and an outer diameter &#x3c6; of the bead wire have a relationship 2.0&#x2264;Wh/&#x3c6;&#x2264;15.0. A radial height Hof a contact portion between a body portion and a turned back portion of a carcass layer has a relationship 0.80&#x2264;H/H&#x2264;3.00 to a radial height Hof the bead cores.

A pneumatic tire is provided with a carcass layer and a sidewall rubber disposed on an outer side in a tire width direction of the carcass layer. Additionally, the pneumatic tire is provided with a resin coating applied on a predetermined region of a sidewall portion. Additionally, a minimum value of a wall thickness t of a rubber of the sidewall portion in the region applied with the resin coating is in a range of 0.05 mm&#x2264;t&#x2264;4.0 mm. Additionally, a thickness of the resin coating is in a range of 20 &#x3bc;m or more and 300 &#x3bc;m or less.

Pneumatic tire and method of manufacturing pneumatic tire

The position of width Wis inward in the radial direction of the center of the bead core. A carcass is folded and curved along the bead core and extends toward sidewalls where a folded back portion of the carcass contacts a body of the carcass. A rubber occupancy ratio in a closed region formed by the body and the folded back portion is 0.1% to 15%. The cross-sectional area Sand hardness Hof a filler outward of the carcass in the lateral direction, and the cross-sectional area Sand the hardness Hof the side reinforcing layer satisfy 0.12&#x2264;(S&#xd7;H)/(S&#xd7;H)&#x2264;0.50.

In a cross-section of a pneumatic tire, a contour of the bead core is a polygon formed by tangent lines of circumferential portions of a bead wire, the contour includes a vertex with an acute angle and a bottom side opposite the vertex, the carcass layer is folded back along a circumference of the bead core in a bead portion, a folded back portion of the carcass layer from an outer end of the bead core extends in the radial direction, and a distance in the radial direction between a center of an arc profile of a tire outer surface and a straight line extending in the lateral direction through the vertex is within 20% of a radius r of the arc, and a distance in the lateral direction between the center of the arc and a straight line extending in the radial direction through the vertex is within 2r&#xb1;0.4r.

Provided is a pneumatic tire including a belt layer. When the tread region indicates a region corresponding to a belt width of the belt layer and the side region indicates a region inward of a tire radial direction with respect to a tire maximum width position, the carcass cords forming the carcass layer are inclined with respect to the tire radial direction in the tread region, and at the same time, extend along the tire radial direction in the side region. Provided is a pneumatic tire. Both terminals of a carcass layer are overlapped with each other in a tread region. The carcass layer has a triple layer structure including an inner layer positioned most inward in a tire radial direction in the tread region, an outer layer positioned most outward in the tire radial direction in the tread region, and an intermediate layer positioned between the inner layer and the outer layer in the tread region.
