In a vehicle molding attached to a vehicle body part, a clip, to attach a molding body onto a body-part edge portion, is provided with an insertion part, into which the body-part edge portion is inserted; an engaging portion configured to engage with an engagement-receiving portion, provided on the body-part edge portion in a state where the edge portion is inserted into the insertion part, whereby a relative movement is restricted in a removal direction; and a biaser which elastically deforms upon abutting against the body-part edge portion that is inserted into the insertion part, the biaser applying a force that engages the engaging portion with the engagement-receiving portion by a restorative force of the elastic deformation of the biaser. Accordingly, the vehicle molding can be securely and reliably attached at a proper position while having a simple structure.

Door channel

A method of manufacturing a door channel is provided. The door channel is provided in a space defined between an inner panel and an outer panel of a vehicle door and has an outside wall and a connection wall connected to the outside wall. The method includes: (a) disposing the door channel in a die; and (b) forming a cut portion in a comer portion of the door channel by punching the comer portion by a punch. The cut portion includes: a first cut portion formed in a comer portion of the outside wall; and a second cut portion formed in a corner portion of the connection wall and communicating with the first cut portion. By the first cut portion, a first cut surface and a second cut surface facing each other are formed on the outside wall. In the step (b), the first cut portion and the second cut portion are formed by a single punching.

Method of manufacturing door channel

An object is to provide a sash coupling structure and a method for sash coupling that ensures omission of the process. The sash coupling structure is made such that on a door frame constituted of a column and an upper sash, a coupling cross-sectional surface of the column and a coupling cross-sectional surface of the upper sash are butted together. The column is constituted of a channel member and an inner member. The channel member and the inner member include adhering portions coupled one another along a longitudinal direction. The inner member is plated. A non-adhering portion, which faces a non-not-yet-adhering portion of the inner member, is formed on the channel member at a butted coupling portion.

Sash coupling structure and method for sash coupling

A frame molding includes a horizontal portion extending along an upper edge of a door panel and an inclined portion extending obliquely upwards from the horizontal portion to be connected to an upper sash. A decorative garnish is formed from synthetic resin and has an external shape that corresponds to external shapes of the horizontal portion and the inclined portion of the frame molding. The dimensions of the frame molding in the vehicle widthwise direction are reduced. The positioned accuracy between the frame molding and the garnish is enhanced by fixing the garnish to the frame molding that is fixed to the door panel.

Garnish and frame molding apparatus and method of producing a vehicle door

A frame molding for a vehicle door includes a first molding portion which is connected to a sash molding attached to a door sash, a second molding portion which is connected to a belt molding, which is attached to an upper edge of a door panel, and a corner portion at which the first molding portion and the second molding portion meet. The frame molding includes, at the corner portion, a corner engaging portion which is engaged with the door panel to restrict at least upward movement of the corner portion. This makes it possible to improve the stability of support for the frame molding.

Frame molding for vehicle door

A door frame structure of a vehicle door includes an upright pillar sash and an upper sash that are joined together at a corner portion. An opening is formed in a tubular enclosed frame body portion of one of the upright pillar sash and the upper sash, at the corner portion, into which a tubular enclosed frame body portion of the other of the upright pillar sash and the upper sash is inserted. A longitudinal-end surface of the other of the upright pillar sash and the upper sash is brought against an inner surface of the frame body portion of the one of the upright pillar sash and the upper sash. An insertion part of the other of the upright pillar sash and the upper sash is fixed and welded to the one of the upright pillar sash and the upper sash.

Vehicle door frame structure

In a vehicle door frame structure including a sheet-metal member of a vehicle door frame, the sheet-metal member formed by a metal sheet includes a folded edge at an edge of the metal sheet, wherein an end of the folded edge is in noncontact with a remaining part of the metal sheet. The folded edge has an inclined shape which is inclined to increase a distance between the folded edge and the remaining part of the metal sheet in a direction from a bend of the folded edge to a free end of the folded edge.

Vehicle door frame structure and method of producing vehicle door frame

A vehicle door sash having a uniform cross-sectional shape is provided, including an enclosed section on a vehicle inner side, and an outer extending wall which extends from the enclosed section toward the vehicle outer side, the enclosed section provided with inner and outer walls, with respect to a vehicle width direction, a body-side wall, and a window-opening-side wall that is adjacent to a window glass of the vehicle door. A weather strip is abutted against the body-side of the outer extending wall, and a glass runner is abutted against the window side of the outer extending wall. The body-side wall of the enclosed section is straight in cross section. A thickness of at least one of the inner and outer walls of the enclosed section is greater than a thickness of each of the body-side wall and the window-opening-side wall.
